so do you see how the leaves are cupping up and the edges are standing up on the leaves......That is a tell tale sign that it is to hot at canopy level@EventHorizan

other than that they look nice and healthy
for some reason hitting reply didnt transfer your picture
I need a humidistat anyone using 1? I think that would help.

Ok, well now I went to 9" on the bulbs and am now getting (more acurate) readings of 78-80°F. There was something screwy about the readings I took with the 10 dollar humidity/temperature monitor. Don't ever buy one of those. Can't trust em.so do you see how the leaves are cupping up and the edges are standing up on the leaves......That is a tell tale sign that it is to hot at canopy level

Cool I will look in to that!Same exact thing happened to me in my last round.. Couldn't figure it out for the life of me until i stumbled on those VPD charts.. Was even happening to my new plants but then as soon as i raised my humidity to match my temp and bam leaf curl went away in a couple days.
Im using a temp stat similar to that for my chiller, has been great so far..
Only downside to those is if you wanted to make the night/day humidity different you won't be able to cause there is no photocell sensor on it. Same with the temp stats. If you want a humidistat with a photocell i think titan controllers makes one..

here is the lowdown on dehueys,,That's why I was thinking of getting a large dehumidifier for the Room the tent is in. Instead of trying to control the exchanging air in the tent. Not sure how many watts those thing eat though:speechless:
here is the lowdown on dehueys,,
they reduce the moisture in the room by heating it..
So you have to remove that heat too...
its a fuck fuck situation...
I just run my dehuey on night hrs...
I HIGHLY doubt you have high rh problems with lights on
Exactly! And honestly you are running it the best you can with what you have to work with..Most likely just continue what I'm doing now.
I usually just run the dehumidifier continuously during flower which lowers it to around 40-50%. And don't use it in Veg which keeps it at about 55-65% .
I'm not sure a humidistat would really even benefit that much when really looking at the big picture.
Because no matter what that dehumidifier is going to run constant when set below 50%.
I run my stuff off of a Autopilot Digital Environmental controller.This..
I have a saturn 5 titan controller (timer co2, RH, temp, night function) and i was trying so hard to figure out the best configuration of where to plug in my dehumidifier & A/C... The best combo i found was dehumidifier plugged into night function and A/C plugged into temp function. The A/C dehumidifies at the same time it cools so when it kicks on it takes my humidity like 10% lower than i want but when it shuts off it raises the humidity about 5% over what i want (day cycle).. I figure thats as close as I'm gunna get..
Edit: however eventually during flower/late flower i may need to plug the dehumidifier into the RH function.. we will see..
I meant if I was you, I would run it only at night. Mine only runs at night, because it never climbs over 60 with lights on in flower.. In veg I run 65 to 75 and I have to run my huey non stop to get it that high!here is the lowdown on dehueys,,

I have my Ac set to cool function. Dehuey is set to rh, and nothing to night or to c02 timer...
I use another stand alone c02 ppm meter with my c02..
And I use a digital controlled humidor with lights on...
My cool setup feature is this. I have a room that was 10x10I put the tent just off the middle that splits off the room and makes the area behind the tent 4x10, a lung room where I have a window AC, and the dehuey and huey set.
I extract the air out the tent thru my carbon filter behind the tent, where it mixes with the digitally controlled AC/Rh air and gets sucked back in the tent thru the bottom mesh vents...
My fan can prob replace all that air every 15 to 30 secs EASILY!
Im only using a walmart $100 5k btu to cool everything...
Being able to circulate that very quickly is what gives me the stability..
I ought to note that my probe hangs in the middle of the tent, and thats what controls everything in the lung area...
I run 400mh/ 600hps.Exactly! And honestly you are running it the best you can with what you have to work with..
What kind of light?
Well The reason I used the tent was, the last shit I grew stank to high heaven, and it was seeping thur concrete lol...Thats what i was doing at first as well and the problem i was having is whenever i came into the room during lights off i felt like the light was leaking into the mesh screens on the tent, plus i would always leave the door open to the room (wasting precious A/C + co2).. So i built a lung room box around my window A/C and put my dehumidifier + carbon filter in the box as well. Made the box out of styrofoam insulation board (2" thick). I circulate the air between the box with 2x inline fans and it seems to work great so far.. probably cost about 50-60$ to make the box.
Now i can walk in my room and not worry about wasting co2 or A/C and also not worry about light leakage.
The problem i was having with the dehumidifier plugged into the RH function was that it would go 1-2% RH over the set point and kick on then the A/C would kick on cause it would also be getting too hot and then it would go like 15-20% below my RH set point.. Of course when lights out it gets colder and RH spikes which is why i just plugged it into the night function and have my humidistat on the dehumidifier set to what i want it to be.
there is a better technique than topping@EventHorizan, how many times do you expect I'll be topping my plants? Once or twice? Am I supposed to clip after the 5th set of leaves?
Thats a good question.. Let me ponder that for a few, taking into consideration, your setup,@EventHorizan, how many times do you expect I'll be topping my plants? Once or twice? Am I supposed to clip after the 5th set of leaves?
there is a better technique than topping
let your plant grow to 12"
by then there should be about 6-8 branches
then you pinch the leaves off the top main cola....it will slow down the main and forces all the other branches to catch up
you keep doing that until all branches are equal height then flip to flower
Well The reason I used the tent was, the last shit I grew stank to high heaven, and it was seeping thur concrete lol...
Shit was on the serious level! My neighbor even said something, claiming he smelled it down the street a couple houses where some hoodrats done moved in.. the whole time he is less then 25 feet from them..
Then Im thinking the fucking mailman gonna smell it,, I about paniced and ripped everything down.. I had to relax all summer over that~! :(
So now its pulled thru a filter, and Im sure the 1000 I spend next harvest will include a new filter.
