@EventHorizan
I really want an autodoser/ph controller too but they are so damn expensive plus more gizmos and gadgets = more shit to break on you when you don't want it to..

I've seen DIYs on YouTube but I'm not good at wiring/programming at all haha.... some of the parts are actually pretty damn cheap too...

Never thought about looking for a used mini split.... hhhhmmmmmmmm :shockedninja:

Yes it will be my last 2 purchases of new equipment... I studied this about a year ago and slowly I have been getting my equipment together :)
The UC was one of my most wanted,,
So getting it and a new chiller was a great present, and I still got them to break out!

I ran across a hell of a deal about 3 months ago for the right person..
Was too much for me and I didnt have the funds..
$2200 for a 32 site UC13xl
with a 1 hp chiller...
Shit I got a 1000 in my 6 site and chiller...
So for the right individual.......

I thought about buying it, running a 8 bucket system,
using the chiller to chill the system AND using it with a box to cool the tent...
Chillers are actually more efficient at cooling Ac's ,
because of waters ability over air's ability to cool a room...

Then sell 4 bucket systems to all of you once I had mine kicking ass,
with the promise that I would help who ever step by step....

But I trashed that plan, figured I might be getting a big head,
thinking anybody would trust my advice on a $600 system....

So I just stick to my lil system and being your lil buddys :)

Wow now that is a heluva deal, holy smokes..

The chiller/icebox would be more efficient if it weren't for the tubing & the pump you have to run with it or so I've read.. You would also have to have the chiller in a different room cause it would put off a ton of heat..

Wow just got pulled over cause the cop didn't see my front license plate lol, they must be bored as crap out here in my area..
As long as you are in by dark, the po po around here dont fuck wit cha...
After dark, its like the South side every where!

Talk about fart noise. Predator mites are like bringing a knife to a gun fight haha
Right now I shouldn't have any bugs
The preds are a preventive measure.
As far as I know they dont hurt.
I'm open to other suggestions as long as it isn't spraying miticides. I would prefer to never do that again

Yes I will run my chiller in a whole diff room.. Then I would put that

  • on the bottom port intake vent, which is fed thru 6 inch duct from the top 6 exhaust vent, with a INLINE carbon filter IN THE MIDDLE OF DUCT.

That sucks. Well you're not in jail. That's good!
We don't need a front plate here. If I travel to your state I believe I wouldn't needs a front plate there either. I don't think I even have a place for a front plate. Lol

Seal the crap out of the building/rooms, look for any and every little thing you can seal up.. get some cheap shoes/flip flops that you put on before walking into rooms/building.. etc... the cleaner you make the stuff that comes in from the outside world the better chance you have of not having to deal with critters.

Yea but your going to have a bunch of tubing and a pump probably make it way less efficient than an A/C... I mean if that were the case then wouldnt every 1 be doing that instead of an A/C?

very efficient way to water-cool your entire grow room! It consists of a high-quality heat-exchanger with molded plastic housing that is designed to install over a 6" or 8" air-cooled reflector(VENTED HOODS)duct flange. Air from your indoor garden is either pushed or pulled through the reflectors with an inline fan and then passed over the Ice Box heat exchanger. Cold water is circulated through the heat exchanger, cooling the air before it exits right back into the indoor garden area. The longer the tubing the higher the pump. But don't use too high of a pump, due to the fact that it may not allow adequate time for the water to chill. If humidity is an issue in your room, you may want to put the reservoir outside the room. 1/4 HP minimum chiller size is recommended per 1000 watts. 600-900 gph pump needed depending on the length and size of the tubing. Approximately 250 cfm of airflow is needed to properly cool the fixture. Several units can be daisy chained together using one fan, only 250 cfm is needed though all fixtures. For maximum efficiency we recommend one Ice Box per reflector. Allows you to keep a sealed room and helps keep pest and pathogens out of the room. The CO2 stays in the room instead of exhausting out. By running the water approximately 20 degrees colder than your environment it can reduce the cooling load or replace your a/c unit.

Yea I pretty much do that. I do have to walk across a big yard to get to the grow area tho. That always scares me. I did go 5 years with no bugs so my habits aren't too bad. But one wrong bug gets in and everything gets fked up. I wonder what commercial growers do.

I like the flip flop idea. I can leave them outside even when it rains. :)

Are there strains that don't like being topped? On ocean grown seeds website for the jawa pie it only says LST is encouraged, should I have not topped/fimmed them?
