they got a used one for
And if you dont got a fan and filter, then you need this too..

Dont waste your time on the t5 for flower.
Get the Ipower, it comes with both bulns and hangers for the light, and its dimmable to 300 and 200 watts..
So in a week you put your seedlings under metal halide bulb at 200 watts, and slowly move it up to 400 watts, while we teach you fan leaf technique. Then we switch out the bulbs and put the HPS in and flower.
My 400 is in my room and I dont run no heat in my room, and it keeps my room perfect sleeping temp, about 70. and in the tent its 75 to 80...
Your room will be perfect, for that 400..
For the summer we get you a hood to go with it and show you how to vent it to the attic or out a window..
So you need about 175 to get going with a 400 watt hps.. With that we just might get 8 to 10 zips..

I snap some pics of my setup..

I agree with everything above except
In my personal opinion I would not buy used.. I’ve just had bad experience with buying used electronic grow equipment and it’s only and extra 20$ for the new..

Especially when it comes to bulbs... who knows how long they used it for..

Yeah, i think i would rather pay the 25$ to have a new one. Soo is the inline fan and carbon filter a necessity for vegging or could that possibly wait a bit? Just curious...

If you look I took one of the top of the tent that shows the ducting aiming right off the top towards my bed..
And im only using the 4" fan and filter and temps are good....
I recommend you get the 6" fan and filter for better air flow...
This is exactly what you need to do!
And you should grow 4 plants in there.
In 1 gal coco..
Feeding at lights on, and soon as you get home from work, every day..
Then next grow we will help you set up a drip system dtw, and feeding will be automated..

the filter could wait but you need the fan to suck the hot air out the tent from the light...

Remember turn the heat down to 68 on the space heater, and plug any heat vents to the room. I run my lights at night so they keep my house cozy around 72.

I dont know if you have an opportunity at work, for overtime, or ways you can make an extra buck, now is the time to do it. For one you need the extra cash.
Second you wont stress as much over bills..
And third, when you earn, you feel proud..

Wait there is a lot of stages lol,,
Wait till you have your first great harvest, and some N Korean wants to give you 3 stacks for it,
and you realize, wow ive learned how to fish and feed myself :)
Then in dawns on you, what that means, and you go into post harvest paranoia lol..
Takes a couple weeks, poss the summer to get past in and fire up the ole tent for the next run...
3 years later you will be proud u only told us about your grow :)

Ipower/Opollo....etc.....they are really all the same chinese stuff
they all work the same and will get you perfectly through a grow just fine
if you wanted to get serious you can always upgrade your lamp to an Eye Hortilux
but in any case it will do

in my opinion I would go with a sealed hood instead of an open wing
I would get a 6" fan and crack your window even if it is cold outside
seal up the tent
your fan will pull that cool air into the tent up into the light which will have to effects
the light will cool from 200f and that 50f air will heat up to 80f or so....and pump into your room heating your room
I have a box that I grow in and my 400 would heat the box to 105f with a 6" fan and passive intake
and the ambient air outside the box was 68f

I have the fan going now, and yes its not very strong, but i went basement shopping for the cheapest stuff i could fine. If we get you 10 zips, you can only have 4, the rest need to go back into your tent/equipment/electric bill/supplies..........
And not just the part of the electric bill that you used for growing, but the whole bill for 3 months..
Then down the road you can have a 4x4 flower tent and use this one for veg and thats really all the hobby grower needs....
As for the fan I did recommend getting the 6" tho

Well i dont think he can afford the hood yet so we went batwing..
He gonna try to get the hood in spring..
Well i dont know how much he has to spend,,
I been just going at it that he doesnt have much..
My 400 dont make my room hot at all..
Well i do leave my door open to my room so it mixes with the rest of my house..
We been down iin the 40 for a week or 2 and my heat almost never kicks on and i have it set on 70

The reason those people said it doesn’t move enough air probably are not using the right fan for the right job.. with 40-50f temps outside and a 3x3 tent that fan should do a fine job at circulating the air between the tent and the room IMO.. a 6” in-line fan would basically be the next step up and I think that would be too much air movement for a 3x3 tent.. that’s what I use for my 4x8 tent..

No doubt bro, I know you better than that. I was just throwing it out there, I thought that's what he already had. And were both using tap.
