I got a question before I call it a night. Lets just use an example. Lets say I think my plant is n deficient. But I know I have gave her the nutes that she needs. So then I must have a lockout. If I look back and say what have I changed, it would be the addition of p/k. So I was looking to see what using to much p/k could do. I was surprised to find out that using to much K locks out N... I am not saying that ,, I have that problem,, but i do wish my plants were a little greener.. They look a little thin in the skin.... You can tell a real difference between the bucket and the table, on color of green. And I know they are doing decent, but they are asking me for something, and I need to learn what it is, and how I can give it,,, Is there a tea that I could make that would give them a boost of n, and green them up a little... What can I do to show my girls some love,,, If they could talk,, what would they ask for?

swap the table over to FNB
and you can put some CalMg in there as I think it has N I believe correct?

yes cal,mag has n in it...

I was gonna ask you if it was all right to run a week on one kind of nute, and then switch a week to another, and then back. maybe gh 3 part one week, then lucas another week, and fnb another week, just to hit it differently? I understand coco may have a different answer than hydroton. Lets assume i am talking about growing in hydroton.

you can switch over....but not keep switching...specifically in flower.....a steady diet.....you can switch to FNB because it is lucas formula....@. 8ml a gal it is the Lucas formula
but adding the Calmg will boost the N Ca Mg that may be getting effected by the p/k peaks......should even it out....
and running FNB on everything is a better way to go.....1 nute for everyone

I like that. At least to finish out this grow.
My new waterfarm rdwc should be showing up in a couple days. I need to start thinking media and nutes to run in it... Is there nutrients that hold up better in rdwc? I guess I got some more research to do before we fire it up.... What do I need different now is the question...

there are all kinds of nutes you could run.....I know alot of people that run ph perfect Advanced line
alot that still run gh 3 part
there are a million company's
the one on the add below are thread is specific to rdwc and that is what they specialize in
Current Culture H2o
Jacks Hydro + Calnit is another good one that is really cheap and perfessional

For your babies? Cause I was thinking the same thing :) Sad thing is its about 125.00 for the whole package... When you say grow stones you mean hydroton right?

I just picked up 45l hydoton, 4-10" bucket lid net pots,,15-2" net pots, 15-3" net pots, bag of rapid rooters, cloning gel, scalpel, .... I am starting to think out my mothers new home... I am gonna start my 2 fem Incredible bulks photos, this weekend. I am gonna just keep them in 2 single dwc buckets once they are big enough, under a t5, I am not gonna do anything to them but let them grow, and take clones from them...

no I was thinkin for your run with the new setup
growstones are literally stones
but if you got Hydroton ....just as good

for the mom
you could put them in those 5" sq pots like I have or you have for the photo
if you put them in coco and just feed them light grow they will stay in there for a long time.....mine has been in there since last Nov......
I am gonna run my CNS17 grow for my next run.....with added p/k for flower
see how that works.....

Ya geolite clay pebbles is what I got. I am gonna start them in rapid rooters, and transplant into 2" net pots, in a small 3 gallon tote dwc... After another 10 days, I am transplanting the whole net cup into a 10" bucket lid net cup, and in a 3 gallon bucket. I don't really have no plans on a schedule to take clones and grow them out,, I just want to get them going and see what kind of genetic I am working with. I will prob take clones and just practice, and keep knocking the mother plant down...

It is just so much easier dealing with a bucket. Cleaner, etc....I put the coco up,,, and maybe one day I will use it again...
All clay pebbles, all dwc... From now on, start to finish,,,,

Wow grow stones are just stones... Wouldn't river rock or something like that work too then? How about marbles? How should I clean this clay pebbles. I rinsed it last time in a tote outside under the water spiget, but I was still cleaning dust out the bucket for at least 4 weeks or better. I don't want to deal with that in the system,, getting in my lines and shit. I am gonna do some upgrades to this unit in the door. First I am gonna install shut off valves on BOTH sides of every bucket. I want the ability to pull a module out of the system, and run it by itself,, while allowing the system to run by itself.. Also It has a 4 gallon controller and a 4 gallon res. I am gonna pull the 4 gallon res off the sytem and convert it to a 4 gallon controller. Now I have 2 systems, with 4 modules a piece. I will use 2 30 gallon garbage cans for the res on both systems. This allows me a lot of options! I can always put all 8 back together as a system, or i can keep one system the way it is, and convert another one to ebb and flow, sprayer/foggers, or current cultures system, with 2" bulk heads, mag drive pumps, chillers, and about anything your heart desires blowing your money on lol...
and I have 2 hoods, just need another ballast. So I have a nice little set up, and I feel like I have set myself up for the next couple years with enough equipment, to supply me with enough meds, and enough equipment to give me lots of ability to study different things and learn...

You know Wish,,, I know I thank you all the time,, but you really have afforded me an opportunity to do something I enjoy, and have a chance to really get good at. But it has took a lot of study to get just this far, and it would have taken a LOT longer, if you wouldn't of taken me and the girls up underneath your wing... So thanks,, I am just really appreciative...

I hear you
the only problem is DWC isnt very good for mothers....unless you are taking cuttings like every 2 weeks
because of such rapid growth
what you could do is when they ate big enough...take clones of each and then flower the plant that was cut
and tou have clones that will take some time to grow to a mom and you will be flowering at the same time
a plant that is mature enough to flower

as for the transplant.....dont wait until the roots are exploding out of the netcup....as soon as the roots pop through the plug
immediately put into its new home....that way the 2"er dosnt restrict root growth in the final home
better yet....but you already purchased it
I was gonna say
just root the seedlings in a 1 dollar jiffy 6 pack starter dome.....with the rapid rooters instead of the jiffy pellets
when the roots come out....put it in its final home
use the dwc for clones
when each seedling has reached 7 nodes cut it down to 3 and clone the top
as those clones take root.......you keep growing the first plant
then you flower the first plant....and you will know if the flower you want to keep or not......if you dont like the flower....you can flower the mom and be done....if you like it then she will become a mom
