these are 40"x6"x4"
http://fibredust.com/products/coir-1-meter-grow-bag/
http://www.horticulturesource.com/m...MIpuSR5Oe81QIVQ1x-Ch325Q_ZEAQYAiABEgJuLPD_BwE

you can fit 12 coco slabs in this 4x4 low rise tray

a super simple set up will use

9 of the above concrete blocks
3 4' 2x4's across each of the 3 concrete blocks set below the tray
3 block on top middle bottom
you will need 2 25 gal totes *black with yellow top*
one tote will go on the end to catch runoff
one will go opposite end as a res

you will need
1 500gph pump
1/2" pvc
1/2" ball valve
1 1/2" pvc T
4 1/2" pvc elbows
as many pvc t's as you will need to run pvc down each slab
all pvc will be looped for pressure * everything connects back to itself so when pressurized all lines will have equal pressure
1/4" top hat grommets
100' 1/4 " line
as many basket drippers as you will be planting plants

now it is a matter of how many slabs you are using and how many plants you want to run
once you figure out how many plants you can figure how many slabs
I would say 4 plants per slab
6 slabs
that is 24 plants in a 4x4 tray
you then build your lines of pvc
drill holes for the grommets and plug 1/4" line dripper basket on the end ....plant you plants and away you go

I love that design. I have most of those items. I can't find anything on those basket drippers.
Is that coco bug free. :) I'm kinda picky now with the coco. lol
I never seen those top hat grommets before. That makes life simple.
I use a 1/2hp pump now. I think it'll work.
Thank you very much for this info! :)

those coco slabs are the "Industry standard" for greenhouse hydroponics DTW Tomato/Pepper
no bugs
super low.2 ec etc.....

http://www.horticulturesource.com/m...MIjfDR64K91QIVlFx-Ch3SHADQEAQYBCABEgKLrvD_BwE

basically the setup I described is industry style SOG dutch growing
they will run it like this in glass houses *dutch greenhouse* on metal tables
super easy
they root the clones for 2 weeks and then place them out on the slabs
it is the same concept as rockwool slab growing
cut a square and place a rooted plant on the slab
you can start your clones in 2" square pots filled with loose coco
https://www.groworganic.com/square-plastic-pots-anderson-2.html
in 2 weeks the entire pot will be filled with roots
you pull it out and place it in the hole on the slab and stick the dripper in

Damn a brother was tried last night!
Sorry I fell out but I see Wisher picked up my slack and answered your guys questions. .

No not yet.. and back then cfl's off about 3 more inches. Your stunting the growth with them so close.
We want then to stretch a lil and we need the leaves to grow and some stretch between the nodes..

sorry my phone murdered that text..
Ya back the cfl back up a few inches..
Its a chess game with cfl and we got to be dilligent every day to measure and adjust the cfl bulbs..

Back it off and let her grow..
Your right UNDER normal led/hid lighting we prob would be about ready to top,
but growth is just a lil slower with cfl..
:) but with cfl you didnt have to pay a 125 electric bill just for your garden :)
So you get that over me you lil cfl electricity stealer :)

I was worried they were becoming too thin.
they are but look at the tops.
It looks like luwegi took Donkey Kongs hammer and smashed your seedling into a mushroom.
I think that is because of your cfl being to close.
Your leaf temps and leaf rh are prob high on the temp and very low on the rh, which the way I understand would seriously inhibit transpiration. The building block of photosynthesis..
But im only a second year grower and never with cfl.. but i would bet a fat girls big titties, that Im right :)

I wanted to share this,
its all about LEDS...
Very good read,
I deff recommend everybody to read it..
Esp the ones who want to take the manufactures word on specs...

http://www.compareledgrowlights.com/
Having bought a single 300w led panel, I do have my regrets, even with the brand name, without a doubt. Hopefully my cfls will help fill that void when light is really needed.

no regrets brother! We all make the best decisions we can with what we have to spend.! The true OG's and real thinkers will make it work, keep only the bare min of product, move the rest asap at discount price for one time sale, and reinvest.

Its a business!

I didnt even keep but 1 ounce a weed from my first run..
My last run was 28 zips,
I only kept 4..
And even let a buddy get 1 of them..
So 3 zips..

For me, I get all the leaf to make bubble out of,
so if I run out of bud, i got bubble till the next run is done..

You may do this for the next couple years..
but that is how I took $200 and
made it into $4000 worth of equipment with in a year...

Do note, im not putting down no lights, im just giving everybody some reading material...
I want to see everybody succeed!
None of you are a threat to my market, so Im all about helping you become as successful as me or other successful farmers!
And I dont think I got all the answers,
but I do think all of us combined is a force to be reckoned with :)

Makin it work XD. I got the temperature down to 84 degrees with all the lights on.

materfact I recommend moving then an additional 3 inches up till you can get that temp under 85

I also recommend getting a piece of foamboard and putting over that entrance.
cut it in 2 pieces.
The top piece about 2x4 feet. Put a 4 inch hole in that and add a extraction fan on inside and screw foam board to wall.
The bottom piece will be 4x how ever more feet left to cover door.
In that piece cut hole at bottom and put a vent grate over it.
You should if you can afford also put a hepa furnace filter between grate and foamboard. $15
And us velcro strips on bottom piece of foamboard so you can easil;y remove it to get to plants..

The extraction fan is pretty cheap!
$20

Got one actually. I had a 4" duct fan for my tent. Replaced that with a 6" and now have the spare 4" with ducting
