That makes sense to me what @Wisher619 said. I could be completely wrong but it seems like right at beginning of stretch they have that yellow hue. Only for about a week for me.
They have had a steady diet of N and they go to stretch and use a little more. But that have already adjusted to the amount they want. Within a week it seems like they re adjust and it goes away and smooth sailing

I also don't run veg nutes the first 2 weeks of flower. I go straight to flower nutes. Less N. with in a week they adjust. It makes sense to me

See. That makes sense. I don't run them either because I always feel there is too much N. I've never had a deficiency. Only excess. So I go straight to bloom nutes. And I get a very slight yellowing for a couple days. I truly believe it's because the plant has decided on its own how much t is uptaking. Then stretch hits and it's an adjustment period for them

My biggest belief is consistency. The plants decide how much of something they will take. That's why a lot of times when problems arise if you stay the course the plant will work itself out (if you are providing everything it needs, food, environment and light wise). When it switches to bloom it is a hormonal change and it is adjusting

Now if we can get shaggy to agree to that, I put it in our new grow book......

Lol. I could be way off base. That's just my observations. And that's why I don't "force feed" grown nutes when it is adjusting to bloom.
In my eyes doing that makes more work for the plant. It has its own hormonal adjustments when you flip the lights. Then 2 weeks later when it starts to stabilize itself and get settled in again we switch up the nutrient ratio and make it adjust to something again? Not for me. Doesn't make sense.

It's also why I really am beleive omg what @Wisher619 is saying about using bloom the whole way thru

That goes hand in hand with my whole consistency thing. It makes perfect sense in my mind. And it will only make me believe more we've been giving too much N during veg all along.

When I was using Humboldt nutes if I didn't add extra N during stretch the plants would yellow and never green back up. Maybe it was the big plants. Idk
With mills nutes I don't have as much control over N so I just fed veg nutes for first 2 weeks and the plants stayed green.

ok so you got to go and make sense and well fuck me I totally agree and Im gonna make another point towards that thought.. I fed my plants 1 .6 right off the bat! We would of thought that would fry them but nope, ....
So i say that your right, a plants genetics already has decided what ec it wants, and that is what it needs from start to finish...

Definitely brotha that's the main thing. Know your plants Like you said when you did something you saw the plants needed more N. that's what it's all about. No 2 are the same. With my feeding I've found I've never had too little N. only too much.

Since I switched to coco and mills N has not been an issue. Except maybe too much like you said.

EXACTLY! Dude I was talking to a friend about that. I told him I bet I could feed full strength from day one and they would be fine. They may burn a little at first but I garauntee if you stayed consistent they would adjust. It's when you chase your tail trying to fix phantom problems that you really get stuck in the mud

Now that's also where being able to know when a real problem is around and actually having to make a change.

I beleive with proper ph rh and temp they can take any EC. within reason of course.

If anything you will just be wasting because the plant will take what they want.

As long as you are flishing out build up the you should be fine

Not that I recommend it. Lol. I'm just making a point I think too many people get caught up in the wrong numbers "750 ppm or 1000 ppm? 4 oz per gal or 2 oz per gal?? Ph 6.0? No? Let me change it to 5.7. No?? Ok I'll change it back to 6.1. No?? Must be cal mag. I'll add cal mag which has N. No? It was the ph! Back to 5.7! No??!? Wtf do I do."
Kno what I mean? Get the important things in control and let the plant live. If it can't handle it it probably wasn't a keeper.
If your checks are checked off let the thing work it out. Unless drastic measures are needed
