I second this statement

going automated is so cheap and easy and.......really allows you to push your plants to the MAX.......
in coco.....once your plants roots fill the container and you start ramping up your feeds per day.....the plants go crazy.....exactly why it is the #1 prefered method for growing nightshade species hydroponically *Tomatoes/peppers/eggplant*
And I’ll second the part about ramping up the feedings.
I keep mentioning it but it because even when doing multiple feedings (3-4) times a day I didn’t consider doing hourly.
But the more I thought about it l figured the more waterings the closer you are to constant oxygenized feeding like Rwc but in a substrate like coco.
So over a couple days l upped it from 6x a day to 12x.
Within a week l could tell the growth had ramped up and they are just thriving.
I feed 20 sec every hour during lights on.

man.....
pump
pvc/1/2" vinyl tube
1/4" tube
drip stakes
timer
done

so easy a human could do it

Lol, I'm ready. Just in time for the monocrop next go round. I want my 3rd run to land me some Jedi stripes.

easily brother
this run looks superb man
with automation....I think you will take your grow to a whole new level
Easy as that.
I’ll set you up tomorrow with specific pumps n everything l used. Piece of cake. And you can get better or cheaper wherever you want but you’ll know exactly what to get. Everything at Home Depot except maybe the pump. Might have to swing by hydro store for the pump. Lol

I get the 27gal tote from Costco for $5.00 when on sale ....normally $7.99

20 dollar pump
some pvc
shit for the manifold you can use hat bushings in the pvc instead of a multiport manifold
a cheap ass timer from Harbor freight

hey what timer are you using

I’m actually using a titan Apollo 12. Analog short cycle timer
Originally l was gonna do every 90 min but the off time max was 60 min so l decided to go with it instead of exchanging for a different one

Hi every1. hps soil vet here.
Just making the switch to cob and im thinking uc.

No hydro experience.... well not in the last 20years. im a fast Lerner and always well inform myself before venturing into projects like this.
so ill be pickin ur brains the next few months :badboy:
great to have such an abundance of knowlege here, crowdsourcin info is awsome...

Im just doin a total rebuild on my space and my cobs are 5-10 days away. @sixstring thanks for ur help
Im just reading up on what system to go with.

I enjoy hangin with my ladies wen i have time, its more of a hobbie than just pumpin out max product with the least amount of work.

was thinkin floodndrain but the more i read about UC the more it tickles my fancy.

@EventHorizan why you not digging your UC system?
Be one with the force, feel the flow and th UC will guide you to great places

Ohh and i seen a bunch of people who literally put there seeds n a cup until the taproot is all the way out. Is it a better chance of germination to do the only cup trick or cup then papertowel, can anyone explain to me why one method is better than the other?
