Here's a couple new pics of one of the strawberry diesels with what Seamaiden called the proto-calyxes. (I think)
This was all I noticed from a quick once over look around.
(daybreak 7pm)

If this is what I have been thinking were male "busted balls" or sacs then I see now why they popped up so fast without noticing them!
They 'bloom' or open or whatever it is almost as soon as they popup LOL!

The first three pics are of the same node and the last one the node above it.

Why are the hairs on the left in the last pic turning dark? I noticed this on several other plants. What causes that?

Thanks everyone!

Pollination is one reason.

Hmmmmmmmm ..... why are you saying that Seamaiden?
Are you standing by what you've said or changing your mind or what?
That in itself is a little puzzling.

I don't mind adding to the confusion if it helps clear it up. :)

Thanks!

I couldn't see anything in the first pix you put up. Then I saw, very clearly, male flowers, not even bananas, full-on male flowers (remember me talking about swinging?).

At this point you need to decide how much time and energy you're going to spend growing out genetics like this.

Thanks again Seamaiden!

What do you see in the last set of pics I just put up? (and others welcome)
Aren't these the same "proto-calyxes" as the others?

Also, anyone know the correct technical term for the "proto-calyxes"?

I feel I am possibly just a little gun-shy from all these herm scares and interpreting the proto-calyxes as male flowers.

Also, is it normal for the hairs to turn dark at my stage in flowering as seen in the last pic?

Thanks everyone!
