I have researched many different techniques for flushing coco medium and would appreciate any input from members on improvements that can be made. Thanks in advance.

10 gallon smart pots with botanicare coco

Day 1: 1/4 strength base nute flush 15 gallons per container
Day 3: 1/8 strength base nute flush 15 gallons per container
Day 5: Compost tea 6 gallons per container
Day 7: Botanicare clearex and black strap molasses 6 gallons per container
Day 9: Straight ph'd water 15 gallons per container
Day 10 or 11: Chop down

Honestly, the longer you can give them straight water the better your product will be. You need the plant to break everything down and use it all up in order to avoid any 'hay' smell or funky burn. Also, they will actually swell more with straight water. Experiment with the temp of the water too, colder water can really increase the resin production.

I find running 2 days straight water is fine when I have run my nutes around 150-250 ppm for the previous 10 days. I find it easier on the plant to lower ppm rather then lock the nutes out. JK

Is one extra day of straight water sufficient or should I add another day? Is 15 gallons per container enough and is flushing on back to back days ok? Thanks everyone.
