Hi all. First post here and wanted to say hello and ask for input.

Been eyeing the UC system for a while and just can't bring myself to waste that amount of money on that system. $900 for a four bucket system seems silly especially since I have all of the main parts and pumps to use for it.

My experience with PVC is quite limited. I considered trying to replicate the UC4 with using 2" uniseals instead of their spin bulkheads and want to run a 1" return. I could run a 3/4" return if I decided to use one of those filters but for the sake of simplicity, I want to keep it 2" feed with 1" return.I went to Lowes today and picked up (4) 2" elbows. I also picked up 2"x2"x1" tee however it is threaded and not slip. Would it be smarted to use a slip for the return manifold? If I wanted to use the threaded tee, what do I need (adpater/coupler/???) to connect it to the 1" ball valve that I picked up also? Now I am assuming the ball valve is just a slip so by picking up a 2"x2"x1" tee slip this should be simple. But what do I need in order to connect the 1" PVC to my H20 pump that has a 1" thread? I assume I will need two of these (adapters/bushings???- one for in and one for out of pump). And to build out the rest of the return, what fitting will I need to connect the pipe to the H2O pump out? The rest seems simple. 1" pipe>1" elbow> 1" pipe>1" uniseal>1" tee for spray.I sincerely appreciate any help anyone can give so I can go back and get the right parts.

I appreciate the link but I already have my buckets and uniseals. The problem I am having is figuring out the correct fittings to use for the return manifold since I am unsure whether to get threaded tees or if I need adapters, etc...If I could figure out what fitting they have in the tee that connects to their ball valve, I would make some serious progress. I am assuming if I use a slip tee, then I need a male adapter to screw the ball valve on. I am also assuming their ball valve's are threaded as well to connect to the tee and the inline filter. After that, they just run 3/4" hose to the H2O pump. Id still have to build up a return line from the H2O pump out back to the control bucket though.
