Dab Tastes Way Off?

I got some dabbing concentrate
I didn't grow it or extract it myself
It tastes real bad when the rig is hot. Tastes still bad when the rig is at a good temp.

Tastes like smoking Kratom extract if anyone has ever tried that

Something tells me they might have used Neem oil on buds
I have some grow experience and with Neem oil
I hear Neem on buds tastes terrible

I'm using an e-nail
I've done a dab once before and they didn't taste like this from what I remember

Is that just how dabs are? Is it this particular concentrate?

I remember the last time I tried some dispensary concentrates (Nevada)..it tasted like crap and gave me a headache..State laws prohibit pest shit, but It may have been a poor purge..I still prefer my own Rosin to anything..No pesticides used in my grow and I get the strains that I want. Oh..here the prices start at $50 for trim run and go up from there..I would be broke in no time flat.

Definately take a look at your own rosin press and growing your own. I just so happen to have solutions for both ;-)

Never have liked the taste of dabs I made from iso into shatter. Same with other I have tried, maybe I am to oldschool. Never have tried rosin yet but would have to make it myself from my flowers. @JWM2 has me pondering now. JW, does rosin retain the flower terps?

Now it tastes much normaler with a hint of Neem
I cleaned the nail and the bubbler

What must have happened is that the gunk from many dabs had the energy to vaporize when I put a new battery in.

I was thinking of getting the DM1005 but $$ tight for the moment

Yes it does retain most of the terps. Plus it’s just safer and easier to maintain. No need to buy cases of butane or let solvent evaporate. I don’t dab but I use the rosin in my ejuice and it’s great. @Buzzer777 is old but he loves to dab ;-)

Would be nice to make ejuice that retains the taste and med quality of the flowers. Now you got me looking at the dm1005.

I can go from flowers to eliquid in about 30 mins total. Could do it in half that time if I heated the solution at the same time I was pressing the flowers. I still need to make a video showing the process. It’s really easy to do.

The DM1005 is a rock solid unit. Highly recommended. I love mine.

Just an update for those who say PG is not a good suspension liquid. These carts were filled about 5 months ago with rosin + PG at 1:1 ratio. No separating. The rosin I used was from older kief so it’s dark in color. More of an amber when held up to light.
