Grown outdoors in New England quite a few years. Never found them to be much of a pest to any crops, just a curious grazzer. Check the underside of the leaves to see if the bites look like they are from below. I am assuming its above.

Is one leaf in the foreground chowed completely?

Dont believe that was a insect I'll have to check it during daylight tommorow and I'll let ya know, pretty sure it was from blowing over in a bad thunderstorm or rain tore it
