Coming into week 3 of flower this morning on my gals. I typically try to defoliate and remove weak satellites around week 2, which I have, but the two plants on the right have grown a bit more vigorous than the other two on the left.. This got me thinking about further defoliation. I wanted some opinions first however. Someone once told me gaps in the canopy equals wasted electricity... SO, before I defoliate any further, what would YOU do in my situation? Humidity is good, airflow is good, should I just leave them?

If it were me, since you've already defoliated once, I would wait until around day 40-45 and give it another go. I typically defoliate once around day 20-25 and once again on day 40-45. Just my preference though.

many do it this way:

do a heavy defoliation at week 4 of veg and week 4 of flower. BUT can remove leaves that are covering bud sites thru out grow (6 max) Also some defoliate 2 days before 12/12 flip being you are growing SCROG consider removing all leaves below the net (Fan)get rid of them big fans. Nice grow ! check out this method "Schwazzing" of defoliation it's very extreme (man - you really need to check it out)

I do a veg defoliation 1-2 weeks before flip and another during week 3 of flower.
I personally never do anything heavy after week 3.

11 days later! These gals were starting to really crowd up in there so I did decide to defoliate again today, here they are now! Very excited for this grow to start swelling up!!
