Denver-area drug cop warns Nebraska lawmakers of medical marijuana's slippery slope
Approving medical marijuana in Colorado put the state on a 14-year slippery slope to legalized recreational pot use, a Denver-area drug investigator told Nebraska lawmakers and law enforcement officers Thursday.
Thornton Police Sgt. James Gerhardt cautioned Nebraska officials against supporting proposals to allow medical use here.
“No matter what the limits were, something else had to give,” Gerhardt, the vice president of the Colorado Drug Investigators Association, said.
