Heard it from 3 separate places since last friday. Denver wants $8k per state license. So if you have 1 mmc and 2 grows, that is $24k per year, and that is just for Denver! I know several shops that have made it this far, but won't make it past this. wow...

They mailed the notice out last Thursday. Talk about timing...

Good luck with that. Talk about killing the golden goose. Simply going to drive the market back underground where there is no regulation and no tax revenue for the city or state. Common sense seems to be lacking among many public officials.

Everyone who currently uses marijuana in Denver will continue to do so. No taxes paid.

You hit the nail on the head, there, Red.

At least that makes the city government co-conspirators...

This is what these city and state legislators are not understanding. They have made themselves dependent on MMJ, not the other way around. They keep shrinking the hoops that we have to jump through, and sooner or later we're going to go around them instead of trying to squeeze our fat asses through. Do they really think there was no Marijuana in CO before it was "medical"? Do they really think their laws create and destroy consumers of Marijuana? None of these people, have the magical powers necessary to directly affect how much Marijuana is bought, sold, or consumed. Once they realize and accept this, things get really easy. They're either going to profit in the form of tax revenue by leaving us the hell alone, or they're not. Either way, people will continue to buy, sell and smoke.

Makes you wonder how the state would react if every dispensary, and I mean every single one, closed down for say... 60 days. Hell, some of them are going to have to, simply because they cannot produce enough product (legally) to support their sales. This will become more common as patients revoke caregiver designations previously given to dispensaries. So what's a dispensary with 8 members but 400 customers to do? I guess Jesus will have to come down and start breaking buds.

Street prices are going back up, street quality far exceeds most MMC samples, especially here in the springs. So if you're not stuck on doing things by the book, things are actually looking up here in CO. lol.
