Hi all.
As a first grower I’ve read a lot about this new world. Yet it seems there is a lot of different ways to do it. You’ve all been very helpful I appreciate that.
Now I’ve come to the part where I’ve chopped down the girls, which again was not easy, do to a lot of different opinions. But down they went.
Main reason for the difficulty was do to plants not following each other. One was ready (I think) the other one not.
I chose to grow to plants of the same strain because I didn’t have separate dry room (yet). I’m thinking of getting a smaller tent for that.
But is this a thing, where plants don’t follow each other? And how do you go about that?

I don’t think you are far from the right time if not the right time….

Unless you're growing clones from the same mother, you'll rarely get a tent full of plants that develop exactly the same. I look for at least 10% amber trichomes before I chop. I can't really tell from your pics, but I suspect you chopped a little earlier than I would have. I wouldn't sweat it. Most new growers chop their first run early.

9 weeks.. I almost chopped at 7-8 weeks ( that was the time given by seller) but learned that those timelines wasn’t to be trusted by the average grower. They are now drying at 64 temp 62 hum.. day 4. Can’t wait

It’s been years (20 maybe)since I smoked weed, smoke mostly hash and not a lot due to getting kids and having to do grown up stuff .. I smoke when I go fishing mostly.. I live in Denmark and hash was the only thing around when I grew up. Later weed was introduced when I moved to the city but couldn’t really make the change.. smoked weed from time to time but I was a hash guy. Maybe now it’s different, I really like the idea of growing your own.. used to have a small vegetable garden with my mom when I was a kid..

Well, I think I speak for most when I say we all love our hash or whatever form of concentrate and its just one more reason growing your own is so fucking awesome is because you can what you want with your finished product…you can make the best hash you’ve ever had. I use choice nugs when I make mine, prob make some people cry if they saw the nugs I use…or you can use your trim like most do.

Yeah that is quite a big time in flower! They say 6 weeks but yeah I’m learning on the one I got going now these time frames are very different a lot of the times.

The lot I have on now have been in veg for coming to 6 weeks, there almost there but just wanting them to stretch that bit more!

I’ve done the ice water method a few times, the bags are fairly inexpensive and produce great results…the pressing can be done in many ways…check out some of the threads here https://www.thcfarmer.com/forums/concentrates-processing.11/

My concern is that only growing small amounts of weed, it’s my first to girls. I’m guessing I’m not going to end up with bags of trim…. ? Should I sacrifice my buds and try and do something with that or is that a waste of good weed?

Since it’s your first go I’d say enjoy your buds man and just smoke em. I do what I do with them because I grow outdoor and have more than I can smoke and plenty still to give away.

I’d still save the trim and maybee do a small batch of iso hash if you can get isopropyl alcohol where you’re at…some people use everclear…super easy and tasty, it’s goopy tho.
