Dimmable Cmh/lec, How Well Do They Work?

I've noticed a ton of love being shown to these 315w lights but not much is said on their dimming capabilities. Do they lose a lot of spectrum and output when dimmed like other HIDs? I've been debating getting a 630w (2 single 315s) fixture but it will be too hot for my small 3x3 tent. As such I was considering dimming it but can't find a lot of info on how they do when dimmed.

I saw a chart once on another forum but didn’t save it. Sorry.

But the spectrum lowered evenly with the reduced wattage rather than all the red spike going down like when hps is dimmed.

I use a dimmable galaxy square wave ballast and use the dimmer down to 80% for young veg in my 3x3.

Growth is still excellent. Even at 80% it grows my plants almost two weeks faster from seed than the t-5 fluorescent it replaced.

The 315 is really strong in the little tent.
