It just came to my attention that significant sources of human dioxin contamination comes from pottery clay and ball clay products. Is Hydroton made of the same materials? Could it contain Dioxin? Could we be exposed to dioxin when using hydroton or smoking cannabis produced using hydroton?

This looks like any other random case of industrial poisoning...? The video says it came from sewage near a clay pit...?

You should see what happens to folks when they eat the cantelope from southeast Colorado. :depressed:

Okay bad joke. I always felt bad for that farm.

Pretty sure our hydroton supply isn't at risk any more than any other industrial product we eat and drink.

@sedate is on the right track, industrial contamination.

Dioxins are mainly by-products of industrial processes but can also result from natural processes, such as volcanic eruptions and forest fires

Found this bit interesting! Didn't know forest fires and volcanoes can produce dioxins. Learn something new everyday. Hopefully more than 1 thing. :P
