Dyna grow and botanicare did the same thing though.. If there is a demand for it theyll sell it to you. But at least some of them admit the base is all you need.

Honestly, I kinda wished one of them would have because they clearly knew about this. The Dyna grow interview is a perfect example. Says right in there that bloom nutrients are pointless, yet they make and sell a bloom formula.

So who is worse?

I dont know but I feel this is more about people not liking the company rather than not liking the product. If it works, I dont really care if Monsanto owns the company. I'll still use it.

Anyway, these pretzels are makin me thirsty..

I don't get involved in the politics to me it's fuckin pointless. If a product works then it works. Like @Dirtbag in Canada shit is hard to come by and I used to mix my own nutes. Works very well for me, it's cheap, dissolves perfect fine for me (no idea why the difference) maybe they are trying to use a stock solution?

Honestly my experience as many others is absolutely been great. Idk if it's like the LED thing or people have a hard-on against the company but imo if ya haven't tried it then that's just it ya haven't tried it no different than anything else and right tool for the job may not suit everyones needs.

Like I said @@Dirtbag if ya don't want shipbo my way with some other starting to grow that I'm helping here I will gladly pick it up off ya for your cost.

This is another subject like LED I'm just getting tired of talking about. People never use em yet bash em.

Tbh this is cannabis culture bash anything new and only the old is good until it's not

Anyhow offer is standing dirt

speaking of Canadian products there is 1 nutrient there that is the most popular and most sold a/b main formula that we all use to produce the best Og kush here. Southern California. Not too pricy and gives best results. Been using it for over 15 years. Best for Og kush strains

Just looked this up no ratio info but very basic composition. Not a bad thing but for hydro I'm not sure it would be complete enough on its own? I could be wrong as it's proprietary info limits what i can find out about it.

Regarding the rockwool method I was talking about earlier. I don’t pre soak the cubes anymore. What I do is I take the top part of the cube, the part with the hole circle and dip it into my veg mix ph‘d 4.5
I only dip it half way and do not dunk it all the way in, for 3 seconds.

I then flip it over and place it on my tables. Since rockwool pulls water down. The dry part of the rockwool, referring to the bottom half of the cube will pull the soaked top half and even out the cube so it’s not completely soaked and you won’t run the risk of drowning the small root system of the clone.

Usually for the next 3 feeds I will hit them with a veg mix ph’d starting at 5.0 checking the roots zone ph in the process until I’m seeing 6.5 come out. I gradually move my way back to 5.5 over the next few feeds until I see a consistent 6.2-6.5 being maintained in the Cube’s root zone.

My feeds in the beginning are aimed to keep the rockwool within the proper saturation of the medium to develop fast initial veg growth. Usually takes about 5-7 days to see them sink roots to the bottom. As they start growing I gradually increase the amount of solution I pass through the medium in the second week. By the time the third week starts they are thriving with explosive growth. Usually ready for flower between weeks 3-4 depending if you want to top them to develop more branching. Which is what I do to get my new clones for the next room. After that you can flush do whatever. It’s very hard to oversaturate rockwool when the root system is in place. Never had any root rot or anything to that degree. Even when I’m flushing 2-3 days in the beginning of the flower cycle when going from sva/svb to sba/sbv

warning. If you do soak cube in the first week before they drop roots. You will spend an extra 7-10 days in veg.

they are just the base line nutes I use. I add the other components to that base line in veg and flower needed for hydro. But as far as base nutes they work great on the og kush strains

Mine is...
Week 1 to harveat- mega crop. Epsom salt.

Week 3-6 flower. Monopotassium phosphate. (Which I am ditching next go)

Works for me but no doubt yours does too.

what medium do you grow in? I’ve tried salts on rockwool. It’s ok but comes out a bit bland imo. Even though I would save a few hundred bucks on a round that way. I make it up by being able to get more $ per unit when it comes out the way it does with this line up I’m using. People here are picky and if it does not smell or taste a certain way they will pass and move on to the next.

RDWC... I find increasing sulfur for the last 3 weeks helps bring out the Terps. Was given that tip by a fellow grower and I feel it's accurate after trying.

I only add mag sulfate in small amounts throughout the grow because I have mega crop version 1. I can't say but people say no need in version 2.

Plus from what I see growers do here they over feed the hell out of the plants. What they use in 1 month I’ll use in 4-5 months of feedings. My philosophy has always been when it comes to nutes. Less is more. The last few weeks my ppm are super low and I sense the leaves of the plant til harvest where they turn pale green. I use more nutes weeks 1-3 then I do the rest of the round. forgot to add cal mag + use it in my flushes and to get the distilled water to 200 ppm

exactly. The humic acid helps the nutrient up take and helps boost yields, makes runs run smoother. Use it flushes as well. The liquid karma helps to add the things I would get from soil. The little extras. Makes them lush green and I also use it during veg. The silicate I use during veg and first 3 weeks for stems, making them strong. The carbo load believe it or not provides the extra sugars needed after defoliation. I remove big water leaves and then add carbo load to supplement sugars for energy. Cal mag, well I use distilled water so it lacks it and if I don’t use it the plant struggles. Og’s are know to be cal mag whores. Monster in week 2 only in small amounts. Little extra p and k and helps them build tighter internodes. Big bud because it likes it better than monster bloom. monster bloom is powder salt form. when I’ve used monster weeks 3-5 I start to notice deficiencies around week4. The plant seems to ask for more potassium then and big bud’s ratios are higher in k than p. And finally overdrive seems to get them to bulk up best in the last few weeks over any other competitive brands I’ve tried. Over all I’ve found this mix of nutes to bring the best terps and weight for this specific flower. But the a/b super nutrient from cannabis gives it that special smell and taste that people desire. I’ve tried other brands like Heavy which other claim it works pretty well with some og cuts but I didn’t like it as well as the Canadian super Nutrients. it’s a dialed in mix. Super bloom a/b just works for Og kush.

Just ask @The Kind Man originally wrote a post on an Og Kush recipe back in 2009 which share the same a/b and a few other supplements. Only difference is that most growers back then would nute the shit out of the plant. Plant can take it but you gotta flush the hell out of it. Back then everyone was using nutrient like it was water. The pound price was so high that you did not care to spend a few thousand dollars on nutrients for a round... times have changed .

An Amazing OG Recipe I Want To Share With Everyone

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen! My name is The Kind Man, I am also known as The Magician, as I have been known to make magic happen :) Here is an OG recipe that has been around for years. It is very solid and it is not uncommon to pull 1.5 - 2 lbs per light with this recipe when the atmosphere is...
