I recently acquired a grape ape clone which seemed fine for the first few days. Now it has some weird spotting and color. I'm hoping it's something minor being that the plant still looks decent other than the color.

I also trimmed the leaves that are damaged.

Since its a clone im going to jump up and guess its root problems

Thanks should I do anything in particular to accommodate the root issues?

Not sure if there is anything you can do, in soil i always add some mycorrhizae to aid, and in an insert medium like coco I ll give it some root simulator. If all fails I discard it. Im just suggesting its root problems, that's your worse case scenario, maybe someone else has a better answer

check your soil numbers before you do anything, like a run off or slurry test to get an idea of where the plant is. grape ape is a fairly difficult strain to grow imo anyway. if you decide its root related then transplant into some good soil. i suggest something like sohum or build a soil along those lines and only feed it ph water for a while and see how it goes.
