Few more days til :badboy:

First up the quick pheno #4 that I didn't keep. My friend has a copy if I want it back but I still think #1 is better. We'll see I guess. This one has 7 tops, at first I thought it was 6 but one hid from me lol.

Then in second pic pheno #1 my keeper. Buds aren't as fat but a little longer. 8 tops on this one. I'm going to weigh them at chop in a few days so we'll have a good idea on yields. I think it will be close.

Lol thanks bud. Just botanicare cns17 bloom and weekly teas for the most part. I add in trace amounts of a few other ingredients at certain points, but very little, probably not enough to really effect size much. It's just to try and add flavor. I use a little liquid seaweed (blue planet), a tiny amount of Alaska fish, and this time I've been giving some homemade barley sugar. A secret formula from some beer I like to brew. It will be interesting to see if I notice a difference in taste. But like I said different addatives at different times. I think this is going to be my best yet by the look and smell.

The harvest went well last night. Trimming was a breeze and I ended up with what looks like all top colas. They weren't the heaviest I've grown. The #4 pheno came in at 148.2 gm and the #1 won with 152.4 gm.(wet at chop) I can't wait to smoke some, smells killer and the scissor hash was excellent. Some pics.

So I put the new run out in the sun yesterday. It was kind of sketch since I hadn't hardened them off but I got lucky and it was overcast half the day. They held up ok. It's been so humid here I'm having a hard time keeping my fresh chopped buds from getting too moist in my dry box which is weird since usually it's the opposite. The first pic has Tommahawk (gg4 x stardawg) in the back left, Black mamba back right and Cookies n Chem up front. Also got a new dog. She was living in my field for a couple days so I brought her in. Seems to have been abandoned. I wanted to name her Caroline cause she seems to think her shit don't stink lol, but my wife named her Roxy.

ohhh its just a lil wuppy. lucky the right person found her, nice m8. better check the local notice board make sure some lil girls not heartbroken:eyepiece:

I'm pretty sure she was raised wild. She was drinking the water from the puddles around my tomatoes. She doesn't like people at all, it took me a half hour to catch her lol. I kept trying to get her to come to me until I gave up and chased her down. That was last Thursday and she is just getting to where she won't run and hide every time we come around. I kind of like that since she'll probably be loyal to only us which will make a great guard dog. My wife got her the collar. We put it up on Facebook, I consider that fair warning.

Are you twisting multiple stalks into a single primary? Like a topiary.

She looks very content. Cute pup.

That wasn't the plan, but the gg4 cross grew so big so fast and has such flimsy branches that I was thinking of twisting it around @incogneato style to make it shorter. Its already a few feet and if it doubles which it probably will at least, I'll have to come up with something. I'm also thinking of taking out the table for this run which will give me a couple more feet to play with.

Off to the grind. I had to go in for a couple hours at 1am this morning, had a fiber link get broken by someone in the mdf room.
So I said I'll be in late tomorrow so I can try and get some more sleep.

The AF taught me how to splice fiber but I never actually did it. Was working on Key systems from the 40's-80's. Never even saw a functioning fiber link. It was like alien tech in the early 90's.

The only thing I ever used it for was to reroute the IR signal from my remotes. The hidden VCR in a cabinet was cool but the best one was running it from the BBQ pit outside of our room to the receiver on my roommate's monster stereo system inside during a impromptu barracks party. Went from about ten of us Airmen around a couple BBQ pits to probably over a thousand once those Peavey Scorpions started blasting.

The SP's and LE's came and asked who was over 21 and only like 20 people raised their hands. As soon that happened everyone broke like cockroaches under a spotlight. ROFL
(I was watching it all from the window in our room because I ran in to turn off the stereo when I saw base law enforcement show up. I've never seen a party like it since. It was like Animal House.)

Good times. Terminating fiber is relatively easy, the biggest problem seems to be finding the correct ends since the outer jackets are not always clearly marked. I've seen many installations where the wrong connectors were used. Sometimes it will work but its not ideal.

After 25yrs the only thing I remember is a diagram showing properly and improperly cut fibers and something about mating them correctly using some sort of jig. I don't remember them ever teaching us how to terminate, only splice. I may have just forgotten, it was a long time ago. I was inside plant "attic rat", not a cable dog but I still did a whole lot of copper splicing for an installer. Fiber was fairly new, barely in use, and there weren't many of us qualified on it. We had a specialist come through and teach a class for a few days. Most of us took it as continuing ed to pad our records for promotions but never actually did it in the field.
