This is my 8 CXB3590, 36v, 3500K, CD bin, w/ 2 Meanwell hlg-185h-C1400 drivers with a meanwell 12/12 LDD driver for the two fans. It also has far red but I am waiting for the driver lpc-35-700. peace

I put a self tap screw through the cob.
It stays put but looses some lumen.

If ya don't mind could you explain exactly how you use a self tapping screw through a cob to hold it?
I'd hate to have a silly stoner ( i.e. ... Me)

That's exactly what I ment. Direct through the center. All you need to care about is not hurting those single chips

I've used self tappers for sheet metal work. (Constructing grow hoods)
The ones I've used have a large head....(hehehe....I said head)
What size you use???
This idea is new to me (I've got a electronic background)
I would have thought that a screw through a cob would "short" it out....
I've got a couple cheap eBay cobs I will try this with.
Do you pre drill the cob?!

this is too funny. I split the light in half because i did not use the larger grow space I had intended but I have two smaller spaces that this light works well with. two smaller spaces, and two lights from one light. peace. Now I am working on a controller to replace timers, light timers, and recycle timers all in one arduino unit. peace
