Call it fauxberry.I met DJ Short last year and picked up 40 seeds of his "Blueberry" F4 generation. Grew them all out, and they all were very uniform. Found only a couple that had a different smell or branching structure. However none of them had the Blueberry Terp profile. Good quality herb, but I wouldn't label it "Blueberry". The phenos I kept leaned more toward the sativa side. One of the males is in a breeding project right now. But I am not wanting to label him "Blueberry" in the lineage chart because I believe it is misleading. I also do not want to claim the flowers of the females are "Blueberry" when they do not have that smell. So what would you call it? The plants are very purple all the way from the stems to the flowers. I'm wondering if I should label the genetics "Purple Thai" for legitimate common sense reasons.... I think calling them "Blueberry" is false advertising.
Well over a decade ago I bought DJ's Blueberry and Blue Moonshine strains..
The BB had no smell or taste of Blueberry.. The Blue Moonshine Plants did..
This is just a comment on the Original BB not true Blueberry..
Peace
If you sold me seeds and told me they were lemon trees, and then I planted them and they grew oranges, and then you said "well yeah those are the genetics I guess you just didn't get lucky" I would probably have a few things to say to you. Also if you label your projects in flavors that are not present, I would highly doubt the credibility of your work. But, if you are one of those clone providers that is out there selling clones of flavor strains that do not possess the flavor, and telling people that it's the name of the genetics because "you have a novel idea", then you are one of the many who are definitely not getting the point.Or call it what it is and not try to change the name of someone else's work...novel idea right?

I would love to see that old blueberry again. My first real strain run, and the flavor was unrealWas it his Blueberry strain (which I thought was extinct aka long gone aka no longer available) or was it his True Blueberry?
