What's the real deal on green led lights for viewing after lights out? Some say its ok others don't do it just because and some say absolutely not to do it???

Yes any light affects the plant and there are extensive studies that show this. Any form of light even a hue can trigger the plants light response. Regardless of what anyone says, because they don’t know the science, personal opinions don’t have bearing on this one. Any color….even a backlight of dim will trigger response by the plant. Individuals put this fact down because they didn’t visually See a difference. Others may argue that as long as there is no center of light source it isn’t a problem, but light is light and even indirect light can cause sun burn, why would we think any different about the plants ability to sense UV rays. It is impatience that gets people to use bad practices like trying to find a light source to play with their resting plant. She won’t blow through the roof over night, so no need to use any alternative. Change your light hours if you have conflicting schedules with her day hours.

The most photosensitive plant in existence, it must be 1000x darker at night than during the day. I would use bduds suggestions and have the light schedule when it's convenient for you.
