SCROG 3 Shining Silver Haze in 5 gallon pots. Flipped 7 days ago. Do I need to defoliate some of the larger leaves to get light to the buds or will they grow through the canopy?
Not a defoliation fan one iota
However it might be a good idea to remove a few fan leaves. Just don’t go mad & only take 10% of at a time. Try tucking in some fan leaves
You definitely want a fan blowing air at the bottom especially when they go into flower.
Next time you’ll know not to add so many as less can be more
Oh well that was my 10 min break from transplanting ; back to the grind

Ya , I totally could have done this with only 2. Thanks for the advice. I really don't like cutting leaves either I guess start tucking until I can't anymore

There is tons of info on net regarding early flower defoliation. Week 1 and 3 are typical defoliation weeks. All of your efforts thus far has brought you to the critical phase .... flowering. An hour of reading and research is well worth it.
I am a huge fan of defoliation. Increases light peneyration, decreases mold and other air circulation issues, increases harvest weight, focuses energy to bud development, +++
Ultimately it's your decision....so do a little research.....then decide.
