Do i need to defoliate?

Is it necessary to defoliate. I maybe should have copied them into flower a few weeks earlier

Their in flower ? I would but that’s just me. There’s a few trains of thought on defol or not. I do it right at flip and at day 21. Then again at week 7. Less chance of bugs or mildew due to more air flow. And better light penetration seems to chunk up any lowers I leave on the plant. But like I said that’s my personal preference.

1. is there a lot of light?
2. is the bottom/lower growth shaded and not getting light?
3. do you want a more productive plant?
4. do you want bigger buds, less larf?
5. do you want more even light penetration?
6. do you have space?
7. ???

You defoliate for 2 reasons to improve airflow and get branches into light, if it were mine I would do lightly and evenly.

They are about 4 weeks into flower thanks for all the responses

I manifolded this run pinched off allot of bud sites and branches during veg so the bottom half of the plant doesn't even have any bud sites on it
