I’ve been defoliating my Bruce Banner by about 25% over the past couple weeks along with spreading major branches to improve airflow and light penetration. I think there’s at least another three weeks in the growing season in NE Massachusetts. After comparing a daytime pic yesterday and night pic tonight that clearly shows trichomes on buds. I’m just wondering if I should trim a lot more to basically lollipop the branches based on how much leaf is left. It just seems sooo counterintuitive.

I would venture they need alot of sun energy to fatten up the buds.

Buds are forming nicely the way they are now. Let them finish up.

I tell everyone who asks me about growing, don’t remove leaves. Your plants look great!

Agree with leaving them. Good idea opening the canopy for airflow. Helps to aid in inspecting bud condition. Great looking lady!!

Thanks all. I’ll just look out for PM, rot, caterpillars, and will lightly leaf blow any rains that fall. It’s that “nervous” time of year. Shed is all set with dehumidifier, floor fan, AC if needed, hanging strings, multi-level drying baskets, and thermometer/hygrometer sensors.
