Do more early trichs mean anything?

Hello, I’m growing 2 plants from seed…..a Super Sour Runtz from Atlas Seeds and a mystery freebie seed from Mt Zion Seeds and Clones.
Today is day 28 of 12/12 and they are both coming along nicely…..although the mystery strain is a lot bigger.
My question has to do with the amount of trichs on the flowers at this early-mid stage of the process.
The smaller Super Sour Runtz has a thick coat of trichs already, while the mystery strain has noticeably less.
I’ve never really given it much thought or compared the trich production at this stage.
I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts or theories on how the trich coverage in week 4/5 correlates with the end product????
Pics are from this morning. Both are growing in a mix of BAS and Roots Organic Original..,,.and amended with several dry organics. Lighting is 2 HLG LEDs….a 320w and a 150w. My conditions are fairly ideal IMO….,temps in the upper 70’s and RH now at 53-54%.
What does everyone think ?

It could mean a better/worse end product. Although, because you are growing two different varieties, I would not expect them flower at the same speed.

That makes sense…..the mystery strain (w/less trichs) looks more Sativa leaning, so it could be a longer finish.

Genetics play a huge role in trich coverage and size. Some strains are super sparkly and some you can't even see the trichs. Dosnt necessarily mean that the end product will suffer, that's just the way they grow. Some of the best weed I've smoked had no visible trichs with the naked eye.

That’s nice to know……this mystery strain has been the easiest and most vigorous growing plant I’ve ever grown. It looks like it’ll be a great yielder and I can’t wait to see what the finished buds are all about. It doesn’t have a big nose just yet but that should change soon enough.

Wider leaf Cannabis tends to put more trichs on sugar leaves, maybe denser coverage on calyxes too.

Every time you touch a leaf, you are smashing trichomes, so avoid touching them Folks think that the amount of visible trichomes determine potency, but that is far for true. There may be a lot more that are too small to see and as the flower time progresses they start to fill up. I never see any trichs until like week 4 or 5 and by week 10 they are EVRYWHERE, even on the stalks/stems.
