do you need both a humidifier and dehumidifier

it seems most the time my rh is between 40 and 55 percent sometimes it gets down in the 30's and sometimes it gets in the 70's ? do some of you guys use both humidifier and dehumidifier

yes, especially in colder climates.

Ya I’m having a issue put a 5 ton air handler in the room with 10 hps light. The air handler seems to suck the humidity down to mid 30 to lower 40 when ac is on. Scared to use a humidifier in my flower room

I've never used a humidifier but my humidity stays around 50% for most of the winters.

I have a 4x8 Green Architecture tent with 1 XS2000 led light a box fan on low and a dehumidifier. I have 3 girls going 2½ weeks since seeds(First grow ever.). I have 2- 5 gallon plants (that the neighbor got at beginning of spring to sit on his patio) sitting in litter boxes. When the dehumidifier needs emptied I put half in each plant. Temps are 75-78 and RH is 60-70%. I am running CO2 also so its sealed 23½ hours a day.
