Do you turn off the lights in your tent when you work in the tent? I have a 240w kingbrite led and even at only 50% when I work in the tent it feels like I have been on the beach for the day. What about sunglasses? Would you turn the light down to minimum while in there or would you turn the light off then work in the tent then turn the lights back on? The plants are autos on 24/0 from seed in the tent on there.

I pull my plants out of the tent to care for them. I like to examine each plant carefully on watering day. Make sure she's "all female" and none of the "he-she" stuff going on. You can figure out your own process. Just be sure it does not involve looking directly at those lights even WITH sunglasses on.

I knew what you meant.

If your sweat drips on your plants it can burn the leaves.

Lights stay on, but as @MIGrampaUSA , i remove and examine each in turn (grow in coco, so i do this daily!)
I also stay above the lights so glasses are never an issue.

i dim mine to 50%. then i wear long sleeve uv shirts, great sunglasses, uv hat. getting major sunspots on back of my hands as that is my only exposed skin under the lights. I thought of fashioning some uv hand covers from an old stained uv shirt. skin cancer blows, and slow blindness is inevitable, why help speed the process? stay shaded peeps.

You cant get uv burn from an led lamp. No uvb.

Haha just making sure everyone knows. I am the dumbass who loves working without glasses and my eyes are paying the price
I've worked around heavy industrial machinery and my EARS have paid the price ... it only takes a moment to put on your ppe gear. I should have started wearing those ear plugs long ago. We had them but back then they were not required.

I like to put a hooded sweatshirt on as I feel the light burning the back of my head
This helps a lot
Sunglasses don’t work get uv treated shades

Do some research, LED is very harmful to your vision. It will destroy your eyes over time. Buy glasses or work in regular light.

The worst part of what he's saying is the damage happens over time so you don't really notice it happening. It's kind of like my hearing in a loud industrial environment. It took a beating over the years.
