Sounds like your friend has an 'old soul' OFF course the longer the plant is in veg the smoother it will be. That being said it runs counter to the mass production 'business' cartel model of quicker is better, so hold onto the guardrails and take a hit for yourself and let us know. Of course there are only two strains of weed: Good &Dankgoodness.Alright growers I have a question? Does maturity make a difference at what size or how old your plant is to get the best out of your grow? I will use two of my plants for an example (purple haze). The bigger plant is twice the age of the smaller group of plants. The reason I ask this is last night a friend told me he just got done curing one of his mother plants and that it was the best smoke he has ever grown compared to his plants that he harvested that were much younger. And he said he thought it was because of maturity. And truthfully, I really am not sure I by that theory, but I may be wrong.

Mine are always exactly the same. What about a taking a clone off a plant from seed and the clone being a little bit different after the first run every single time. They all change to some degree.
Weird because I have never had a plant stay the EXACT same from cut to second run. Little nuances change. But I'm also very sensitive to smells soMine are always exactly the same.
I'm trying to make mine different with different nutes and lights, still the same. In 43 years every single one has been the same. I'm trying to make this one different with changes to spectrum and nutes, but so far it looks the same.Weird because I have never had a plant stay the EXACT same from cut to second run. Got to wait and see, I'm trying to change this one with diff nutes. If I grow it the same as the original, it will be exactly the same. Terp profile is genetic, might be able to make slight changes by altering environment and feed though.I'm not talking looks or structure. I'm talking about Terpene profiles.
