Does Pm Only Infect Living Plants?

I just harvested and have a full room hang drying right now. No PM during the grow but was curious can PM infect dead plants too? Like i figure the plant isn’t living the spores shouldn’t be able to germinate but maybe someone can chime in here...

Its mold... my turkey sandwich from last week is most def dead but that hasn't stopped the mold from growing... so just think about that.

I got cottonball mold last year drying in a damp room. Never had pm

In my experience, PM doesn't continue to spread through drying.

this is were the right snap of the stem comes in,if you jar it to soon and get lazy and dont burp daily mold will grow in the jars especially if you keep jars in the house and then burp outside,just saying make sure you have the snap of stem right before jarring,hanging they will also if to much humidity in the room your hanging

Yeah everything I’m reading is saying PM needs a living host to germinate.
