Toss a bag over it first. This is no bueno, remove that stalk quick.
Well bugger. This is the only stalk as I didn't top it.This is no bueno, remove that stalk quick.
And yes that pot is small, but I have some 2footers in 8oz cups. Donāt do what I do. Smaller than a soloā¦..Well bugger. This is the only stalk as I didn't top it.
I know the pot is too small. I did a lot of things wrong with this plant at the start and left if too late to start changing things.
If I cut of the upper part where the mold is, would the lower nodes survive or is the plant a goner?
I've saved buds by spraying with a 50/50 mix of 91% Isopropyl Alcohol and RO water (or bottled water, distilled, etc)Well shit, I thought it was larger, itās just mold sporelates, it spreads quick. If I was you , I guess I would try to get surgical, spray the affect area carefully, and try to cut it away from the main stalk. I mean really, what ever you are more comfortable with.
It may look like this after, but that is totally fine. Itāll be a ābutter faceā type of deal.I've saved buds by spraying with a 50/50 mix of 91% Isopropyl Alcohol and RO water (or bottled water, distilled, etc)
It works if you catch it early on. Just soak the buds with the spray, then put a fan on it immediately and try to keep the room as dry as absolutely possible from now on. A dehumidifier and a quality air filtration unit wouldn't hurt, either, if you've got them.
I cannot attest if this is the best idea, but it worked for me in the past, and I've smoked buds that had developed a very small amount of mold before. I didn't get sick and I'm still here, so... Up to you, I reckon!
But generally people freak out about mold (even though mold is all around us and even on our own bodies frequently) so you may just want to chop the infected parts off and save the rest of the plant.

I'll try this. I think. Better safe than sorry.I've saved buds by spraying with a 50/50 mix of 91% Isopropyl Alcohol and RO water (or bottled water, distilled, etc)

A spray of hypochlorous acid will work, without damaging the plant. Alcohol destroys trichomes. Like totally destroys them.I'll try this. I think. Better safe than sorry.
