"Donations" and taxes

If you have a medical card and donate money for time and compensation for growing materials to the people supplying your buds, are you able to write those donations off on taxes (as donations)? Or should that be avoided since taxes include a federal aspect to them? Anyone have any experience with this? :anim_09:

The feds don't recognize medical mj as legitimate.

Because of federal laws that prohibit the cultivation, distribution and use of MJ it is not only not tax deductable, there are many items that you could not write off as a MMJ collective or grower that many other types of business could, like for example rent and cost of product are not allowable deductions with the IRS.

That's what I was thinking, seems pretty risky.
