does anyone know if colo has a road kill hoof stock list for poor people anymore
they did years ago
I didn't get any tags for game but an antelope I might not fill
and Im gonna run low on meat this season and
a freshly killed deer or two would be awesome for me in the pups
even if it took a long drive middle the night Im seriously poor
and Ill be slayin a butt load a fish soon as harvs in until its all frozen cuz I hate cold
but I get sick a fish and veggies after a while and I need red lean venison
I know there might be late season over the counter cow elk tag available I hear
but heck I'm a lil feeble trashy ass with not a lot a friends and elk huntin in Colo in the winter alone is too much for me.
It is a bummer a guy can't get an over the counter doe tag to eat these days
the game in Colo is managed for out of state rich trophy hunters who pay outrageous for tags and
spend a ton a money on guided hunts
but regular average residents can hardly kill a doe just to eat and they are all over
irritating it is

I've ate it but its an acquired taste and Im not hungry enough for them yet

we don't have a ton a moose here though there are plenty up there by you
hell id even trade some weed for a big ass hind quarter of a moose or elk
I prefer venison though that be my main red meat if they were not so strict here
man a nice pile a freashy jerky and a big glass a lemonade sound good

I love huntin rabbit when you are actually ready to eat it for lunch
cottis are my favorite but I eat them snowshoe a lot too and dig the hides

trust me once its cold enough to hang I'll eat if I need to eat
Id much jusrt rather exist peacefully as possible along the middle road these days
I'm not gonna starve while a resource God provided me in abundance
is hoarded by the bureaucrats as a commodity of antlers on plaques
when there is plenty a does and I just wanna be nourished
ya know nonresident tags are Big MONEY in Colorado I mean huge money
it pisses the native population off we cant even eat our own deer legally
and I would have gladly went and bought a doe tag for meat if possible
but I don't have much luck drawin unless my points are maxed in the lottery
and don't always have extra money to put in come spring
whats silly is they hoard the does n make a weird population explode
and cull the bucks in the name of natural selection claimin it strengthens the herd
well if there is any sorta logic behind that and we are using mankind to be the
predatory force to thin herds of the weak why don't we smoke more weak does
they are all over and make me foam at the mouth hungry I could slay them with a rock
I just passed two this morning one named Alotta Jerky the other Sweetendar Chops

Yup they started the lottery draw here a few years back also changed up all the regions into smaller units it's hard to hunt where you want now, yup they are cattering to the out of state trophy hunters who could two shits about the meat!

I try not to be a bitter poor ol mofo but Colorado's government is horrible
and I wish they'd let the southern half go back with new mexico like we want to
heck Denver don't even allow pittys and that makes my baby SISSY GIRL CRY N CRY

since I got older though my dad and most my huntin folks are dead and I don't have
a good horse anymore or quad so lately I just hunt deer and prairie goats

few years ago last time I elk hunted I asked myself well how the hell
are ya gonna get it out if ya do kill something in here
I have hiked with qtrs. n the head as a kid a lot with my dad
and I don't got it in me as a feeble ol stoner anymore

I don't know if they do the 'roadkill' anymore, as lawyers probably made all that into animal feed.

They were doing elk lottery for all the culling in RMNP, which I don't know the status of this year....But with all the rain, thinking bumper Elk crop in the spring...So probably another culling next fall.

yep my understanding is with the chronic waistin/mad cow scare they frown apon humans taking road kill for consumption but ya can legally claim and keep deer ya hit as long s it is reported correct
hell recently an old friend gave me a very very old Navajo sheep for dog food I poped in the head with a 22 caped n dressed and the butcher even had a fit when I brought it to be processed to burger n bones
guess in this snicker fed politically correct wild west state turned douchebag ya can hardly even butcher your own stock legal no more
silly but there just isn't a place for renegades like me anymore
Im hopin to get a land preservation tag in the Alamosa area for a cow elk fuckin up a farmers potato farms
it is super easy huntin them right of the farm lol but Ill probably have to trade a farmer weed for a voucher
