for whatever reason in freak of nature genetics, we only found like 7 males outta 200 seeds. I had picked out a great male but when we moved we lost him and was unable to f2. So, ive been hitting them with different males, and plan to recombine the different lines I make off them and do some reversals etc. Long term project.

Just a quick update...

Pretty exciting news for us here...we officially closed on our new property, deeds been signed, and all the ts and is have been dotted and crossed. We are so pumped to finally be homeowners. Now the real work begins....got big ass plans and tons to get done but super excited. We also got the first batch of seeds started here in Hawaii! Popped 50 of my celestial dragon (stardawg x dragons stash f2) as well as 12 ace zamaldelca, and 12 of snow highs golden dragon (Cambodia khmer x highland thai). our basic plan at the moment is getting seeds vegging, the celestials will go in the greenhouse to do both pheno hunting, getting pics, smoke reports, etc in hopes of releasing the celestial dragon line, and also making some pounds as its been at least 18 months now since I had a sensi harvest so definitely lookin forward to that. The sativa stuff I am planning on doing outside the greenhouse, with a decent veg to make some nice big sativa plants for headstash smoke, and also Ill be pulling clones and likely will do some f2 of the golden dragon and f1 off the zamal, assuming we get some nice phenos that seem worthy.

Quick update...things have been crazy busy, but so awesome for us. Been working hard at the new property. Been a slow process, as the weather has been a challenge. Tons of rain, but we are managing forward progression anyway.

We got every palm that was touching the house cut down and piled out, and all the palms that were in the way cut down and handled, got the beautiful black topsoil scraped off the building site and the driveway area and piled into a nice compost pile, and 30 tons of 1.5 minus drain rock dropped and spread. We officially have a driveway that my lady can get the car up and down, and we got the prep work all handled now, so tomorrow...we start pouring our concrete for our piers! Made the homestead feel a lot better to have good access, and it all cleaned up

I know...boring construction photos not beautiful flower shots lol. Property is coming along...piers are concreted in, and all the additions joists are all in. exterior wall demoed up to the header, and reembraced temporarily. Gonna be laying subfloor soon.

For the grow side, our greenhouse is on order...4 weeks expected from the mainland. Seedlings are vegging away, still very much at the baby stage so not much to report.

Well, we finally got the greenhouse here on the property! we had our friend come over with a tractor and do a super close shave on the the jungle to get down to dirt, and push around some soil to level out a nice greenhouse pad for us.

Its a 30x12 with 10 foot peak. We are pretty impressed with it, seems pretty solid. we pounded 4' rebar 3 foot into the ground at the corners and middle to anchor it down as well. At about a foot we hit lava rock and had to really hammer it pretty hard with a sledge to break thru it, but once we did and got them in was solid as fuck.

We got the first run all sorted thru and uppotted now as well. this first run we are going with 40 7 gallons...could easily have fit double that but just didn't have enough plants vegging. but next run is already vegging and I popped 3x more seeds this run so we will be able to fill the greenhouse better next round. We are planning on vegging these gals for prob 3 more weeks. Want them to root up the new pots nicely and get more canopy, get some topping , pull clones etc.

20 celestial dragons (stardawg x dragons stash f2 red male)
10 Golden Dragon (snow high seeds) (Cambodia khmer gold x thai chiang Mia)
4 zamaldelica (ace seeds)
1 love fruit (staefli genetics) love triangle x purple apricot
then some clones - tk, 92 og, gmo, Swayze, glue, snow dog, peanut butter breath (thugpug), death coast diesel (pipsweed), sour bx2 (karma) and prob missing a few lol.

Early morning stroll thru the greenhouse... I gotta confess, i am loving being back in the garden. Opening up the greenhouse in the am and closing her down at night, and talking to the gals, smelling the stem rubs, developing the kinship to see who the standouts are, imagining the potential, and seeing the vision and workflow...,thats my zen.

Greenhouse is doing ok. This run is gonna be kinda a learning one. I wasn't running the lights long enough to keep in veg when we first moved on, I tried to course correct when I saw they were stretching and starting running lights long, and it kinda stalled them out a bit. such is life. GH definitely wont be full this cycle, but next cycle...we will make the required corrections to get the next run full to the gills.

Looking like this will mostly be my celestial dragon (stardawg x dragons stash f2) as the golden dragons from snow high are looking like all males, maybe 1 female possibly.

in general though we love Hawaii! every time I walk back to the greenhouse it still kinda catches me off guard thinking this is all ours.

In order to flip the flower house, gotta get a second greenhouse setup to veg the next round / keep moms in. We like the other greenhouse we got, but didn't want to spend as much. and for our veg house, we don't need to seal it up like on the flower one. So on this one we just picked up a 20x20 frame. Got our ground cloth as well to layout still, and need to pick up the film. But, we are getting closer and closer to being able to flip our first cycle here. We plan on Monday to get film and put the cover / lights up. Then hopefully the following Monday can turn the lights off down below and let them trigger.
