You’ve got a dandy start I’ll say that!

It’s a misty day after all that rain so I’m just thinking….just how stoned can a guy get?
So I’m finishing filling the gelcaps from the last batch: 2 ounces flower 1 quart oil. Simple and effective, takes my sleep from 5 - 7 hours most nights. Those extra 2 hours are nice.

Wax is soluble in coconut oil, I’ll let this sit overnight but only the trash from the press is settled out. Oil on left, 1 gram wax on right,

So if a person decarbed then pressed, take that wax and dissolve it in the oil I make gelcaps with. That ought to be one arse kicking gelcap!

It was stoner chatter but hey that’s where the good ideas come from.
So I decarbed 30 grams of Chem4xOkie, not processed this flower for a minute. I decarbed in a silicone bowl that sealed so it wasn’t dry but to be consistent I put it in a water bath like normal. Pressed the next day, 4.4 grams from 30 or 15% but the consistency is like dry flower

Got me to thinking , what if I just press another 30 grams exactly like the other. Only difference is decarbing. Water bath etc so it should be the fluffy easy to handle stuff, hell no

Again, like there was no added moisture but the yield!!!!! 20.3% hell yeah
Guess it comes down to the old saying, all strains are different in lots of ways

I plan on on playing with the most moisture i can add before it becomes detrimental. Have you messed with a maximum in regards to hydration and pressing?

Sitting overnight with a pan of water is the max I am willing to go. I would have never guessed but too much moisture and you’ll blow out. With the water pan method where I’ve gotten the highest return they blow at 5500psi. So for now this moisture level is the highest but I don’t have a #, just a method

I have to admit I tried it just like your talking about, and got the same results
I’m going to look into higher boveda packs soon then I’ll have some numbers

I havent had the quantity for a large press yet but I was able to achieve a dripping wet residue when i tried pressing a bud picked of a plant still living with the hair straightener. i decided it was worth waiting a couple days at that point. but yeah the product that came out was green sponge water

First run of this line. Insane veg growth and popcorn from Hell. 2 things that stood out during growth. She’s slow to open up on the Terps but I’m patient. Solid yield with some extra trim time

There’s usually 3 or 4 lines here at any time so I do get some variety growing 1 at a time. These are all Okie crosses but very unique to their own

I haven’t but it might just be on the next order! I run Okie crosses simply because @trustfall and I have the same desire when it comes to the high.
I want to get buzzed and be moving, thinking, tinkering around in the shop basically doing something creative. Okie’s do that for me! For those times I want to get ripped, wax does just fine. So I really get the best of both worlds.
That being said I’ve got one to sex and a couple others germing that aren’t Okie’s. I moving to 8 mother lines, 6 will be Okie to start with

Mothers were growing fast right now, 19 days since the last cutting.
Ended up losing 5 on the batch coming out. Every single one had the same issue, my scissors needed tightened causing some jagged cuts. 15 seconds and a philips screw driver was all it took to fix. Lazy on my part

Veg- new batch of mothers to be on the back row. & front left to flower in May, Plum crazy heading to flower next

The newest line to be sexed, Kona x Maui 86

Chemdog #4- 1 week flower

Project Okie- 4 weeks flower

Skywalker- 8 weeks flower

Pressed all the lowers from pure Michigan, 115 grams made 20.1 grams or 17.5% yield. Added in some from Chemdog #4 press the other day

Skywalker x Okie- 9 weeks flower, 10.5 flipped. Not a bad plant to trim. Smaller buds with enough space to clean em up good. Took her out about 10 days further this round after dropping to a 600. Think that might have paid off as she is smelling up the grow room

Do think she would tolerate sharing a space with others? : ) i have this strain from you and want to run it but would like to get a couple others in there as well!
