The wife’s- dead headed after the first round of flowers- she’s got got more left in her
IMG 0102

Cloner- 2 days cut and still standing
IMG 0103

Veg- the 2 groups of mothers weren’t even so I kept everything after taking the clones. There were 5 I wanted cloned so the extras went under hoods. Made these a good while back but still effective

Sexing a plant is similar to watching snow melt. Looking forward to the outcome but it’s painfully slow. Day 7 of 12/12 in these pics. There’s no male appendage's showing yet so that’s a plus. It’s putting a bottle neck on veg until I know for sure, 28 pots 28 plants

Really interested in the Apples & Bananas i've got a couple of them outdoors.
Not sure how you want to correlate this to outdoors but she just set the daily consumption record, 23 gallon in 8 days, one plant. That’s just shy of 3gl/day while most plants hit the 2 gl mark. Keep an eye out, your girls might get thirsty

The Wife’s- this batch is flowering it’s 2nd set so some replacements are sprouting in veg
Image

Cloner- 10 days cut. Hadn’t lost any yet so 3 got culled and Big K clones moved over
IMG 0129

Veg- cleaned up the overpopulation and got the replacements going for the wife
IMG 0130

a fella can learn by watching if you want. Other than a seed, new growth starts in the shadows for most branches of a plant. It’s where my thoughts on clones come from

I’m give K&M 86 all the time it needs, 9 days flipped
IMG 0132

Pure Michigan x Okie- 1 week flower
IMG 0134

Apples and bananas x Okie- 4 weeks flower
IMG 0135

Plum Crazy x Okie- 7 weeks flower, if a person ignores the calendar and just looks at the plant then this gal is done. Coming down soon

Goal for today is my first true attempt at RSO. I’ve dabbled with washing but not for pure RSO. Read at article that talked about mixing everything cold, I went that route to maybe skip winterization.

So 2 ounces of decarbed Chemdog #4 and a bottle of grain alcohol in the freezer yesterday. Mix and sat for 20 minutes then strained off, all in the freezer. The final filter as it goes into the ghetto double boiler.
Yes I have a Buckner funnel and pump, will be used from now on. Learning purposes on this run

I’ll bet it boils that water off pretty quick! Can’t you just put the bowl of alcohol on the heat at about 90°C?
These things are really meant to work with the remote probe going into the liquid. That doesn’t work with this setup so to buffer the high heat spikes I use water

Do you suck it up when it is still warm? How do you know the wax and lipid content unless you let it cool? Or isn’t there any? Just to get idea about the wash!

💯 % guess work chuck. I did pull it up while it was still warm. There were no solids so what’s there stayed in suspension. It’s still heavy on the alcohol but what’s there will cook off easily

Plum Crazy x Okie- 9 weeks flipped. This was a research/experiment grow running RDWC without an air pump. I relied on surface agitation from the return line to maintain dissolved oxygen levels.
Overall it was a success because I put something in the drier. Compared to other grows running f/d maybe not so much. I am 98% sure where I messed up, I’ll run this again in the future and find out.
