Drinking from a Cattle Trough

All my flowers drink from a cattle trough. It's been about 15 years since I've done a grow diary here so I figured it was time to update things. Like a lot of my fellow growers here I'm getting old and my health isn't good. Ruptured disk etc...

Wrapped up the cultivator project. Waiting on a couple points but it’s done. We’re pleased. I looked these up online and they aren’t too expensive but shit in quality. We are going to hang 2 100 lb weights to this one, anywhere. Wouldn’t try that one a new one.

Next project is to put this pile a parts back together with some major fab work to the frame. Darn thing is so dangerous it was banned in the US in 1981. Concept is cool as hell but the designer had no clue about safetyView attachment 2351045
Is that a spinner splitter thing!? Nice work on the cultivator👍

These things can be made where they are relatively safe. Well, as safe as the chainsaw that cuts it down. My son we’ll be using it so I have no option but make it as safe as possible. Will have an E-stop to kill the engine
Excellent! yeah I would feel pretty shitty making something for my kids and it ended up hurting them : / great idea!

Is he running it with PTO?

Yeah PTO powered. Gotta have a e-stop
That’ll bog down right once power is cut? Or is there a “couple extra turns” once the e-stop is on? Im thinking a break like on a large lathe! You hit that stop and that F’r STOPS! I know you got it worked out though : ) looking forward to updates and the updated safety of your guys’ bark buster!

I believe it was @FloridaMike who talked about the benefits of a fresh water holding tank.
Couple more reasons is 1) supply. There’s folks without after a winter storm here. 2) tap water is freaking cold. I run a heater in my holding tank, filled it back up a minute ago and it 49, bit chilly for a plant

I wanted to do this in my shed! It’s still on the table, i really really hate filling the 5 gallon bucket then a 2 gal with warm water to take the cold edge off. Hmmm…! Im so limited to funds on improvements I gotta pick and choose projects carefully : ) this might be getting moved to the front of the list right after I get the veg room “perminatized” thanks @FloridaMike for sharing! Hahaha! Thanks JJ!❤️✌️

no problem, that's what were here for, right? something to consider if you have room, is one of those blue 55gal food grade barrels, they usually have them on marketplace for free-$25. i have a 44gal rubbermaid tuff stuff garbage can that i way overpaid for @ home-de-pot. 💪 👊✌️

What up esteemed colleague?
I feel like i havent seen you on in a hot minute.
Hope your not too cold over there.
👊🏻🤡
hahaha, never in my life been accused of
anything like that b4. we been tryna hold
the fort down for ya and boy, i gotta say:
you have some mighty big fucking clown
shoes to try to fill. oh, and it's a whole 56f
out there, and i can't even find my damn
hoodie
glad you're back brother, hope life finds
you well.

There’s a foot of snow outside so it’s in the shop. Evaporating off the Everclear after a couple day soak of the used pucks. Test fit of all the parts for the splitter project cause watching shorty work gets boring 🥱 View attachment 2356944

Perfect snow day! Man I wish it would snow where im at. Thirty years ago at this time of year there would be at least 2-3 feet where I live. Two years ago we got that… IN MARCH! 🤣 I just want it go wheeling in the jeep!

your BB project looks nice so far, I like the way you 45*d those corners! : )
