All my flowers drink from a cattle trough. It's been about 15 years since I've done a grow diary here so I figured it was time to update things. Like a lot of my fellow growers here I'm getting old and my health isn't good. Ruptured disk etc...

in regards to pressing a flower of that type. would you get more yield from that vs something more compact? for sake of discussion all the weights and rhs would be the same (pressures, bags, heats).Lemon Tree x Okie- 9.25 weeks from flip. 1st run of this gal and I like the way she grows, easy on nutes and a breeze to trim. Didn’t ever take a test bud so it will be a minute for a taste test

if I could tell which presses better that takes all the fun out of itin regards to pressing a flower of that type. would you get more yield from that vs something more compact? for sake of discussion all the weights and rhs would be the same (pressures, bags, heats).
im really wanting to start focusing what i grow to be high yielding when pressing ( and if it really matters in that way) in that a good pressing weed is just that whether its structure.
i was watching a video about foxtailing along with “larfy” buds which that portion doesnt apply here. they were talking about more surface area and that being great for making hash and other concentrates.
Thanks bro bilber. That candy rain is fast becoming a crowd favorite but for shear crystals white Runtz is perfectly namedIf I ever go screen, the Candy Rainis the what I'd aim for..
!
Very nicejj!!!
Dude im all in! I’ve got some of the rock hard nuggs i think it’s DSGxm86? And then I got some fairly larfy very open type buds (still firm mind you) but it’s got that surface area. I’ll press those two! : )if I could tell which presses better that takes all the fun out of it
Tell ya what I’ll do though. Just got done flipping this entire grow grow so there’s some free time on the horizon. I’ll press some of everything I have, maybe 5 or 6 strains, and we can have an unofficial press-off![]()
We go in circles around here when it comes to processing. It was rosin about this time last year, then it was taking the rosin into other products. Year before that was carts, this winter it’s about edibles. The wife says I’m trying to make a “super gummy”, ok I’ll give her that one. It requires RSO to my oil.Dude im all in! Lecithin should keep it togetherDo you have any trouble with the oil separating? I make gummies pretty much the same, but even after drying and curing, the oil just separates out from the gummy every time over a few days. Regardless of using MCT, butter, coconut oil. I've tried coating with caster sugar but even then it just forms a sludge after a while.
What am I doing wrong haha. I've just settled with chocolates or biscuits as they are super easy to make but I do like me a gummy.
I use lecithin but I might not be mixing everything properly.Lecithin should keep it together
I use a single tea spoon for the whole batch and I use soy lecithin.250g of butter goes in to make the butter how much comes out I can't remember but a single tea spoon for all of it.and juice is around 1 glass for gelatinI use lecithin but I might not be mixing everything properly.
There always seems to be a film of oil on every gummy no matter what I do. It appears as they set and dehydrate every time. Looks good while pouring but by the time they cure there's a film.
Tried mixing for ages, being careful and not getting any froth but it still persists. Not sure how much lecithin you can add before shit goes south but I've tried 5-7.5ml soy lecithin per 3tbsp gelatin and 3oz jello (same amount water and oil as above) but I just can't seem to get the oil to stay in the gummies for the life of me lol.
I've definitely had that to happen. My problem was I hadn't learned how to deal with the lecithin, sounds similar to your experience. That very first step of adding the 1/2 teaspon of lecithin to the warm water. Your not going to get oil and water to form a mechanical bond without it. Then give them time to form that bond over low heat and continuous agitation before adding in the gellatin. Hope that helpsDo you have any trouble with the oil separating? Cheers. Sounds about right. I'm not being very vigorous with the initial mixing of the lecithin and water at all. I'm using liquid lecithin too which is like tar/glue. I have seen powdered down the road. Might give it a try as well and see if it makes any difference.I've definitely had that to happen.
