Hi all,
Looking for a pump for my dripper setup, needs to work on a timer and maintain 10-50 psi in the lines for the emitters to work properly. Looking at one from harbor freight however it requires priming:http://m.harborfreight.com/34-hp-clear-water-pump-650-gph-69297.html

No real experience with a pump like this, does anyone know if pumps that require priming need it every time it turns on?
If I install it below my resevoir will it help the situation?

I currently have a little giant msp-5 that has a max psi rating of 11.4. Concerned about pressure loss from a disk filter and backflow preventer dropping it below the 10psi mark.

I've used drippers in the past and had pump problems (cheap grey import knock-offs continually burning out) so changed to short bursts of high flow with a second increment timer. Is there a reason you have to use drippers?
