hey all! I have been doing some tea brewing mainly using EWC. I was making coffee while the tea was brewing and I had an idea. I wondered how it would work if you were to use a drip system to make tea, kinda like the way a coffee pot works. So here's what I came up with.
(Both methods use airstones for aeration)
You could either do a single run, where the water is only put through the castings once.
Or a recirculating system. Something similar to the water farm, but the water runs through EWC instead of hydroton.

So what do you all think? Any reason not to use this type of setup?

I only have a 100x scope. Would that be enough to show me the difference?

How good are your eyes? I'm well over 40, have tons of floaties so IDing bacteria is difficult using my student microscope, even at 400x. I need one of those LED screen ones.

Anyway, I'm not sure 100x is sufficient, but you should be able to see *something*.

Actually my vision is one thing that is in great shape. Last I had it checked it was 20/20. I guess it's worth a shot! I'm definitely going to try to find a used microscope that could be used to look at the microbeasties. Maybe I'll just have to ask Santa lol
