That sounds like you have some dry pockets in your soil. Try to run a fork gently over the top to break up the soil without disturbing the roots. I'd work on dialing in your watering methods, it sounds like you weren't fully saturating the soil when you were watering up until now.Okay that would have been my best guess. I suppose they are just drinking more now in full flower mode. I think I need to water more slowly bc the pots drain water quickly, like after the first 32 ounces. Would it be wise to water over a period of two hours or so?
Yes actually this is a good point. I have seen it before where the soil got packed too hard in the pot. When this happens sometimes one section of the soil soaks up water while another section stays dry. This could be it also however I am of the opinion that they are just straight up under-watered. Im quite confident if you simply start giving them more water they will pick right up.That sounds like you have some dry pockets in your soil. This question needs to be answered if ya ask meThey look thirsty to me. I water slowly, but at the rate of maybe 1 gallon per 3-5 minutes. What is your percentage of soil to coco/perlite? I wouldn't expect run-off after 32 oz in a 3 gallon bucket....
Yes should give the first 50 percent of the water that the plant needs then in maybe 5 mins or so maybe less you could put the other 50 percent of water on.Okay that would have been my best guess. No, I just stir up the top inch or 2 with my hands and pour 1/2 gallon at a time Slooowwwly over the area and wait for it to soak up, and repeat until water starts to pour out of the center bottom of the pot, but I use fabric pots.Okay that would have been my best guess.
