i tried to listen to some metal but wasn’t working, back to ozric tentacles! haha such a great band!

Here's one you might enjoy then. Metal, but not really metal. Instrumental, all kinds of amazing instruments (there's actually a recorder solo around the 4 minute mark!) and talent beyond belief!

Actually, he was. Not for this song, that's Victor Wooten, but in another song by the same guy, Billy Sheehan did the bass. I loved that use of Eastern scales and the recorder section, tbh. Takes it out of that standard "metal" fare and creates something totally interesting out of it. Glad you liked it!

I'm a heavy metal guy, myself. And I totally enjoyed it. Was like the first time hearing King Diamond's, dangerous meeting.
Different...whole album was a story, start to finish. Deep and dark.👍
