Drying the buds…when to jar?

Pretty much the same as @Deadstill and I. I do burp my jars once the bud has been added to the jars twice a day for the first week. Once a day for the second week. Then once every two weeks for four weeks and once a month thereafter.

How do you folks handle burping if you do so?
I'm only on my second harvest but last time I cured for 3 weeks burping once a day for about 30 minutes. I will probably do the same this go around just because it's easiest for my work schedule. Maybe longer each day if anything.

Off topic but related, I just smoked some of the bud I'm trimming to cure and somehow someway it tastes better and is less harsh than the top shelf dispensary weed I got yesterday. What's up with that lol

Burp mode is why I like to use larger, but shallow containers instead of jars. Burp 5 lids instead of 30. Remove the lids for an hour in the drying tent. Repeat once a day until steady 55-60% in the sealed container. Then jar them until ready to smoke.
Hey no offense but u are really giving other growers bad information friend. 55 rh is way to low to dry cannabis for a fact . Stop going on what you read instead go by experience. I have jars of blue cookies and gelato at 58 rh and no smell no hi just straight trash bud. Do you know why? Because i listened to a fool like you and let my plants dry at 10 days 55 rh 60 degrees. Well guess what? 60 degrees f is cold and it sucks all ur humidity up. To cold. Dry them at 68 f and 65 rh . if while drying the rh falls below 60 it’s time to trim and jar. Way better off with wet weed that dry bud. Also u should never smell a hay smell and if so u over drying them period. buds should be sticky and resin all over . U fools are really telling people to dry 14 days at 60 f really really careless people. Maybe if you’re drying 100 huge plants. most of us grow 6 to 12 we don’t need to dry no
14 days. Mine over drying at 7 days cold temps humidity was at 50. to low to low to low. Trust me dry ur bud at 65 rh don’t listen to these fools on here . They just read on the internet and think it’s boss nope . Thanks for helping me mess up 3 harvest with your ignorant advice .

We dry as close to 60F and 60 RH as we can get it. It works well. At those settings, a 2-to-4-ounce plant will dry in 7 to 10 days.

A steady, even dry is best. If the humidity is too high there's a risk of mold. If the temperature is too high, the outer parts of the buds dry much faster than the middle.

Yet you still giving misinformation. 60 to 65 rh is the answer. You said 55 rh and that’s over dried. Again stop posting your ignorant advice please thanks . Go by experience not by what u read
