Hello again! time for my second grow! and now i have multiple rooms!

In my 4'x3' closet i have two 400 watt hps's, with 8 Ak48s, cooled buy outside air. They are about 12 days into flowering. During lights off the temperature gets below 60 degrees, so i strung a heater on a timer to come on after the lights come off, which keeps it at about 70 degrees until the lights come back on.

For my veg room i have a 1000 watt dual spectrum bulb. which will be my second flowering room after i make another veg room. This is where my Ak48, Exile and WhiteWidow mothers are(in buckets). other plants are waiting to get switched over to 12/12. I also have lots of clones waiting to root! Maybe this time i wont run out of weed so fast!!!!

Hey I picked up a digital heater at lowes a year ago for 25 bucks or so. The nice part is it turns off and on by itself without any manual adjustments. I should actually be using it now but I am already using too many watts as it is.

Nice grow man keep up the good work :)

Thanks! ya i need to get me one of those, mine is ancient. Im also pushing my wattage, when the lights and the heater are on at the same time my circuit blows!

Nice work bro..looks good..those space heaters use a TON of watts..might as well add another 2 lights lol

That looks like its going to be some bud in that closet in about 26 days! Gata love those quick strains, I to have some ak-48's growing....

if that's your space heater hanging by a wire in your closet... your nuts.

build a small shelf to set it on.

also, i live in the northeast & my lab is away from my house & heat & air con... i use a mini oil filled radiator.

of course, my lab is properly insulated but a heater in winter is necessary.

they make small, super thin oil filled radiators in the 400w range... they are awesome for a space like yours.

mine is a little bigger @ 700w (at only 5.8a) & is about the size of a telephone book.

works awesome & take up no space & doesn't trip breakers.

ebay is your friend : type oil filled radiator : into the search engine.

my room is 10' x 7' x 8' with fresh air intake & exhaust going all the time... and with a small fan next to the oil filled rad (not blowing on it) my room temps are a stable 78 to 80 during lights on and 70 to 72 during lights off... in the cold ass winter.

another good thing... the radiator heats up the room so nicely it doesnt run all the fucking the time ...like other space heaters.

This might be a great place for a heat sink to buffer your temperature fluctuations.
Try putting a bucket of water in your grow space to suck up extra heat while lights on and yield it back when dark.
I too am very sensitive about power use. And I share your interest in AK48. She stinks so strong it forced me to tent my grow area with all the attendant complexities that brings with it.

An oil heater would be nice, i just dont have alot of money! But whats wrong with my heater? i think it works just fine. Its strung by sturdy wire connected to a secure pole. Ive checked temperatures and the thing kicks on (only at night) for less than five minutes every hour. The air is moved by a fan underneath the heater. It dosnt stay on long enough to be a hazard or anything.

Ya its starting to smell slightly, but the stinker the better for me!

Hum?

After smoking and thinking for a while now.......

This Exhale bag emits co2 24 hours a day,

so when night time comes along and plants are only in respiration

could too much co2 (especially in a closet like mine) cause decelerated growth?

And could adding extra oxygen at night cause accelerated growth?

Just a thought of mine. Im still a newbie so maybe someone has the answer!

Day 48

Trimmed most my leaves because of a small amount of powdery mildew on the lower leaves after my intake fan died on me, but whatever its day 48. Im harvesting on Tuesday morning after 36 hours of darkness making it about 50 days. These nugs are dense! looks as if ill get my first LB!
