Uh yeah?

Maybe I jumped the gun on that one, it's a base up only and it's the only one I can find.

Ok, dual arc it is. Now, should I got with a 12 pack of cheapies or 6 hortilux?

jr, that lamp has a cri of only 65. it's not a cmh grow light.

if you're looking for a 1,000w, go with the dual arcs.

and you get what you pay for. cheapies don't perform the same.

Uh yeah.

I agree with papa I don't think you can get any higher than 400 watts. Go for the the dual arc.
I know you posted the link
I could be wrong but I don't think that's a 1000 watt CMH bulb. The picture looks like a plain MH bulb. CMH bulbs have the bulb core wrapped in metal to protect people because if they explode the core can take off like a missile. Philips limits them at 400 watts to help with this problem. Here is an image of the retro white 400 CMH bulb:

Good luck with your room set up and keep us posted with pics:)
