Eating butter that is not baked

From what I am reading it sounds like the baking process increases the potency. I am wondering if I should increase the slow cooker time since I do not plan on baking all of it but using some as just butter on toast as an example.

No you don't need to do that just use it. The heating in the crock pot does the job.

Should I cool it before putting it in the fridge? Sorry for the novice questions, but as you probably can tell...Just a newbie.
