Ebb flow drip / flood drain combo

What do ya'll think of doing a constant drip through hydroton using a 1/2" co co mat for aeration, in conjunction with periodic flood drain cycles? Of course using plenty of air stones in the main res. I'm thinking of flooding 6 times in the 12 hr cycle, and possibly having the constant drip on only during light hours. Any thoughts or suggestions?

My first hydro garden had rockwool cubes sitting ontop of coco matts with just a flood fill. Didnt like it, dirty so my buddy on here suggested stack two cubes 6x6 on top of one another for extra room for roots and assemble a drip system. So i did just that. Two drip lines on top of each cube turning on twice in a 24 hr time period for two minutes. Love this set up , very clean. The water returns to the rez. My next run i am goin uc but i do love this set up, massive buds and clean
