Hi all. I'm growing in the UK in a plastic greenhouse.
We've just had a strong storm with wind that has broken the greenhouse my plant was in, I rescued the plant and it's sat in the bath Infront of a fan drying off.
I'd estimate it's about 3 weeks from harvest, but it'll take near a week for a new greenhouse to arrive.
I want a LED / HID light to finish the plant off in the bathroom where I can easier control the damp / humidity and avoid the bud rot I keep getting.
I've never used lights, only grown in mini greenhouses.
I don't want to spend a fortune for a few weeks.
I need a light I can hang from the shower rail, or that can stand on a table.
I've no idea out of all the lights I'm looking at what is suitable for this purpose and really need advice please.
I'm doing all this as cheaply as possible, don't have funds for a good indoor set up.
It's an auto, and very small, planted 8th June, grown the same before and that was also small (only adding this info incase it leads to more tailored advice)
I'd prefer a light I could go to a shop to buy as that's quicker than waiting for delivery.
Is it a certain power / design / output etc I need when finding a light?
The greenhouse broke overnight last night, the plant has been in the bath drying since 4 am today and not getting light so it's pretty time critical

I'm not a fan of bringing outdoor plants indoors. Could you throw a tarp over the cloths line and use some rope and tent stakes to form an outdoor shelter for a couple of days. Don't worry about the light today as far as the plants concerned it's cloudy.

Any light will keep it alive but to finish with quality bud you'll need more than a small cheap light imho. no substitute for the sun or its intensity. If you have any sunshine getter back out side asap. I used a small A frame plastic tent one year A rope on either end holding it up staked into the ground, it worked pretty well, it protected them from periods of constant rain

Thanks for the reply.
It's illegal here and I have close neighbours in an area snitching is a very popular pastime, so that isn't an easy or safe option.
It is possible I could fashion something to make the broken plastic greenhouse stand again, but it's likely it'll break again due to the wind, and it'll be prone to bud rot again.

I've not yet managed quality bud as I've always had to chop a little too early due to bud rot.
This plant isn't going to give a good yield as I've already had to remove a fair bit due to bud rot, I'd just like to get something from it.
Its clear trichomes at the moment.
A replacement greenhouse is gonna take a while to arrive and the plant doesn't have that long left.
The weather is sh1te with no sun now so not sure how well it'd do outside anyway.

But, at this point the plant is nearing the end. The natural light quality this time of year in the UK has got to pretty weak. Maybe a bit stronger than NY. I wouldn’t think you would need to duplicate exactly.

The number 1 reason I have to grow inside, Our weather here sucks to finish plants without rot & powdery mildew.

If you are into this growing thenone foot in front of the other towards an indoor grow. It doesn't have to be much to start a small 2x4 or 3x3 space or in a tent, a light, fans and dirt pots. Lots of help on the forums if you stick with it

Thanks, I'm having a nightmare with budrot outside, worse this year, even with a load of fans running 24/7, lost 1 entire plant, and about 75% of another, this is the last chance to get anything.
I'll see how this one does indoors with a light, and may have to move onto indoor growing, I'm just pretty limited on space.
I've been researching DIY tents, seems relatively straightforward, just worried about the extra energy bills that may come with it.

U need fans to take humid air out from greenhouses upper areas or some heating device during night (thats costly, imagine running 2kw heater 10h every day for a month) Usually at night or during raining days is humidity very high. Proper airflow.
Greenhouse is awesome thing but a lot of growers forget it doesnt have proper airflow. Without strong outtake humid air u ll always run to mold in late august, september, october (depends from place but seems like september is bad for u and a lot of photo flower in that month)
Never ever in greenhouse use fans directly on buds, u just intensify humidity this way at one place.
NEGATIVE PRESSURE IN GREENHOUSE!!!!

Its not that bad regarding electricity in grow tents. Strong lights 600w during flower run just 12/12 and 18/6 is with dimmer during veg.

U ll need inline fan in tent to take humid air out with higher temp. Those have around 40w. Humidifier for veg is around 40w too, dehumi around 200-400w, depends from tents size. Pick a tent which is taller than 2m.

Maybe next time try autoflower, photo is in flower very late in a year, where its more colder during night and rainy during day. Having that in several days in sequence is a catastrophic outcome for a plant.
Or try strain, which are more resilient and have smaller buds.
